i have the lexmark x5150. every time i try to print, scan, anything it says "cartridge error 50c". i have looked everywhere trying to fix the problem and the only thing that i have found is complaints about this model. please help!!!!!!!!
I removed the color cartridge and left the black one. it worked.

Keep getting occasional Error 0502 problems caused by Cartridge Stalls. Tried to ensure the Encoder Strip is properly located but it is difficult and impossible to see behind the cartride carrier.
I have had this problem "Hardware Error 0502" which kept getting worse until I could not print any more. So I open the cartridge cover & removed both good cartridges, pushed the cartridge carrier fully to the right hand side & with one slightly damp cloth, a dry cloth & a pair of latex gloves (as the ink stains your skin) I first carfully cleaned the guey head like things on the bottom inside the printer on the left hand side. I removed a load of hard & soft gue with the damp cloth then finished with the dry cloth. Next I cleaned the bottom track aswell, moved the cartriage carrier fully to the left hand side to clean the rest of the bottom track. I then re-installed both cartriages & the printer is now perfect again!

Are there drivers available that will make my all-in-one work.....it prints but won't scan right now while set up with windows vista?
Just as you can draw out the image using CorelDRAW, you can also use the File> "From Camera or Scanner" function in Microsoft Paint. It bypasses the driver.

I have installed a refilled Lexmark cartridge and software refuses to accept it. Lexmark X4550 keeps saying "alignment problem." I suspect this is part of manufacturer's software designed to prevent use of generic or refilled cartridges and force users to buy overpriced replacement Lexmark cartridges.
I had been very pleased with this all-in-one but now I am becoming enraged by the manufacturer's use of extortion and considering dumping this machine.
Any idea how to get the Lexmark to accept refills or generics?

I HAVE LOST THE INSTALL DISC . AND NOW I DONT KNOW HOW TO GET MY PRINTER INSTALLED TO MY OTHER PC. IT HAS WINDOWS XP ON IT. ANY SUGGESTIONS OUT THERE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRETIATED
if you go to the lexmark.com website, click on the top menu where it sais drivers and downloads and go down to drivers. the page will pop up look up your printer they will have software that you can download or you can contact the lexmark manufacturer at Lexmark International, Inc. 740 New Circle Road NW Lexington, KY 40550 for more information

Hi,
My Lexmark X5150 printer has been displaying Hardware Error: 0502 on its display for quite sometime. It appears as soon as I press on the Power On button. I have no idea what to do. Your help in this matter would be very much appreciated.

The 0502 error can have any of four possible causes:
- A faulty black/photo cartridge
- A faulty color photo cartridge
- A dirty encoder strip
- The encoder strip being out of position

my priter prints blue lines across all colored pictures or text.Any Idea?When printing black only,there is no problem.any colored - blue lines are added.I did reintal the drivers,used old and new but nothing helps.Any answer to this,please?
Have you tried cleaning the print heads or replacing the color cartridge? where as it it printing black fine it leads me to believe the problem lies in the color cartridge. my first recomendation would be to run the clean print head wizard in the printer settings and if that does not work then replace your color cartridge.

need lexmark x5150 software download for windows 7
First check the microsoft compatability list to see if your printer is supported. If it is listed, 7 should drive it. Find the list at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx
Failing that, visit www.lexmark.com/support - search your printer to find your driver ... not listed, your options become: 3rd party driver (hard to find), e-mail Lexmark (easy to do), replace the device or run it on a non Windows 7 computer and share it on your network.
