Right Cartridge Incorrect
How can I reset NVRAM on lexmark x7170.
I tried everything. Unpluging, reseting to factory default on machine. nothing.
Is there buton combination to solve this?
I prefer to buy a new color cartridge cause if you have right cartidge incorrect it means that your printer cant read the catridge. GOOD LUCK!

Like the title says. I keep getting a message saying "left cartridge incorrect, right cartridge incorrect".
And yes, they are at the right spot. I had this problem with the first lexmark 4580 and got it exchanged...and I STILL have the same prob with the new one :(
me too. black #23?

I received a "Cartridge Error" Error: 1203 during the printing process. I do not have any user manual and am unable to find anything online to help me. I tried taking out both cartridges and placing them back in one at a time and the color cartridge did not produce an error but when I added the black one that is when the error returned. I did place a new black cartridge about a half hour ago but didn't have any problems until now. I have been printing up to this point with that cartridge without problems.
HELP!!!!
Lexmark #34 carts are smart
try this workaround ---> take out the carts >>> Turn off >>> turn it back on >> check the display for messages shown>> Re install the carts as "new" by selecting it as new using the arrow keys !! >>

I got an error code 2200 on my Lexmark 7170 so I unplugged the power pack for a little while. When I plugged the power cartridge back in I get a loud siren-type of noise and I can't do anything other than to unplug the power pack. The screen no longer says Error 2200, it just says Lexmark 7170.
Please follow the link below to Lexmark's Technical Support web page.

I installed a new printer cartridge. An error message displayed "cartridge error 1203".
ERROR 1203 LEXMARK ERROR 1200
Error 1203 is an issue that occurs either when a cartridge is bad or the printer cartridge Slot is bad...
1 - try cleaning the copper contacts of the both carts and cart slot in the printer and try again..
or
2 - when error shows up, shut the printers power off; wait one minute and turn it back on press copy.
Hope it will work for you take care all the best Pineworks

printer says cartridge error: error 1203
Remove both ink cartridges and check the bottoms to be sure all of the tap is removed. Small pieces of tape frequently are stuck to the cartridge bottom causing errors. Confirm you have the correct cartridges (# 34 for Black(HIGHYIELD) and #33 for color). Reseat the cartridges and try again.
