Ok this some times works.

Error 1203 is an issue that occurs either when a cartridge is bad or the printer cartridge Slot is bad...

1 - try cleaning the copper contacts of the both carts and cart slot in the printer and try again..
or
2 - when error shows up, shut the printers power off; wait one minute and turn it back on press copy.

Might be that the cartridges are not seated well in the carrier or just needs cleaning. Remove the ink cartridges from the printer and follow the steps in this link http://bit.ly/bb33Ob on how to manually clean the print cartridge nozzles and contacts. Reload the cartridges and make some test prints again. If that's not going to resolve the problem, cartridges may be defective or got damaged and needs to be replaced. However, it doesn't have some of the Productivity Suite software.

Hello. Uninstall the software properly by going to Start Menu > All Programs > Lexmark Series folder > Tools > Uninstall. Restart pc. Probably, the software got corrupted that's why you are having problem with scanning. Reinstall the software by using the cd only this time. The scan software can only be installed using the installation cd that came with the printer.

The scan driver/software can only be installed using the installation cd that came with the printer. Hope you still have that. If you do, just run the cd in your computer to install the scan software. If you don't have the cd, you can ask Lexmark for that by calling 1-800- LEXMARK (1-800-539-6275). They may be able to send the cd without charge.

It has some graphics in it to better understand the instructions. Hope this helps.

use the disk thad came withe lexmark and reinstal the software or you can download software on lexmark site for free also manual
or the email program you use are not compitable with the lexmark machine normaly the email client wil start up like outlook expres or outlook from the office or live mail or other email program
figiure it out or read manual

Hi, it might be the cartridges are not seated well in the carrier or just needs cleaning. Try this if it helps. Remove the cartridges from the printer. Close the cover. Unplug the printer from the power source for now. Grab a damp paper towel and place it on the table. Have one cartridge and set it on the towel with the nozzle facing down. Draw about 2-3 lines in one direction to wipe clean the nozzles. Do the same to the other cartridge. Plug the power for the printer. When printer's ready, load the cartridges back in. Let it print the alignment page. After printing, check if problem persists. Hope this resolves the problem. Good luck!

Hi, try to check first if your power cord should be a 3-prong cord or a 2-prong cord by checking the power supply behind the printer where it should be plugged in. Then, check at your nearest electrical/electronics shops around your area if it's available. Otherwise, try to call Lexmark and check if they can assist you with that. first, on the left hand side of your printer set the "mode" button to fax.
then while looking at the display press the options button till you see "print activity report" then press the select button and it will print.
Hope that was what you needed.

Hi. I presume you already tried installing the software using the the cd. You need to uninstall the existing driver first by going to Start > Programs > Lexmark folder > Uninstall. Reboot pc. Then, check if your pc is running on 32-bit or 64-bit by going to Start > right click on Computer > Properties. Then download an updated version of the driver from the Lexmark website. It's a Vista driver but compatible with Windows 7. Just click on the link to the website. http://bit.ly/aFWPZx . Click on Microsoft tab on the center of the page. Download cjr7100EN.exe for 32-bit or download cjs7100EN.exe for 64-bit operating system. Hope this will resolve your problem. Good luck!

I found if you cover a copper contact on the color cartridge the erroe clears and the cartridge works. looking from the contact side for the color cartridhe 2nd row contact 2 from the left. I found if I use an ohm meter from 2nd to 3rd contact I measure 119 ohms. I believe that is a shorted cartridge. If you bought it New I would get it replaced. I use a SMALL square piece of Scotch tape.
