Hi,
If the printer has all lights on solid. It usually means a 900 Error.There will be secondary and sometimes tertiary errors codes in form of light patterns by pressing the continue button twice. If that is the case then you probably need to replace the main controller board. If you could provide me with the secondary and tertiary light patterns I will be more than happy to tell you what the exact error is and where may the problem be.

All laserjet printers and laserject function on the same basic principles and unwanted marks, streaks, line etc, which are repeated in a pattern are mostly due to the deterioration of the cartridge parts(photoconductor and PCR roller mainly). The problem can be fixed by correctly identifying the faulty part and replacing it. This saves the cost of buying a new toner. However, sometimes cleaning the visible inside of the printer and cartridge roller greatly helps, which can be easily done using dry lint-free cloth and gently cleaning the photoconductor etc. Good Luck!

Try power cycling it first by unplugging it from the wall socket and then pressing the power button for at least 15 secs. Then plug it back in and turn on the Printer to refresh the settings. That usually solves mine. Hope that helps.

On this model, you cannot. It will lock you out when the chip reports you have reached the maximum pages, or when the printer toner sensing laser reaches the contact on the other side because the toner level in the cartridge is too low to block it. You can replace the chip if you can find one online, or I have access to the chips if you need one. The other issue is that if it has locked you out, it means that the toner is close to low and may only print 10 more or 100 more pages by just replacing the chip, so this may not be a cost-effective solution for you.

This is a PRINTER HEAD FAILURE.
Clean the print head and see if it helps else get it replaced.

It should be under Utilities menu -> Reset Photoconductor Counter.

What this means is that the memory is full. Go to the link below and on page 78 tells you how to fix.

It might be a defective cartridge
Take off an reinstall the cartridge

On the bar at the bottom of the computer screen there should be a printer icon on the right hand side ( you may have to click a little arrow to see it) right click on that and select cancel print job.

The flashing toner light indicates that the photoconductor kit needs to be replaced.
Use this Lexmark Part# : 12A8302 to order. After replacing the drum cartridge counter will have to be reset, Use the following steps.
1. Open the front door (press button on left side).
2. Press and hold the cancel button (x button) until all the lights flash in order.
3. Then close the front cover.
This will reset the drum counter to enable continued printing.

the light could be indicating that the lazer unit needs recharging

there must be a small particle that is causing this problem

Here's a few things to try :

1. Blow it out with canned air. make sure there are no bits of paper or dust in the paper feed area and in the front access area that could be causing the jam.

2. Verify that the cartridge carriage moves to the service area when the front door is opened (as if to change tanks)

3. Verify that the timing belt, drive belt, gearing and rollers all look normal.

4. Take the network out of play when doing the initial troubleshooting

5. With the computer off, unplug the printer's power cord and USB cord for about 3-5 min

6. Completely uninstall the printer's driver and software. Then reinstall the printer's drivers only.

Retry after each step.

The Lexmark E232 laser printer only prints in black and white. It doesn't support color printing. I hope I can assist you more on this.
