Lexmark S405 isn't printing color when I just bought new cartridges.
Make sure that you're using genuine Lexmark cartridges. Also, check if the firmware of your printer is up to date. Just go to http://bit.ly/ghfW8H to download the firmware update.Performing a maintenance on the cartridges would also help. To do that, on the control panel of your printer, press on Setup > Maintenance > Deep Clean Printhead.
Error # 1203
I have to be quite honest I am still suprised the problem here is still not as
published as it should be. The problem you are having is with Windows XP, more
notably Service Pack 2. It is not a particular device problem, but rather a
general communications problem between specific XP components which was due to
XPs new security center. The fixes are mostly passed around on sites
related to networking, because the biggest issue is a "NO CONNECTIVITY" error it
produces with certain network adapters. If you search around the web you'll find
several fixes. Apply them all followed by Microsoft's TCP/IP (Winsock) patch and
you should be up to snuff. I suffered the same problem with my Lexmark as well
as my Networking when I upgraded to SP2. Which I may add ticked me off alot.
However, luckily I addressed the networking first. Because that in itself fixed
the printer as well.Hope you guys have a great
week.WalterBarterPC Computer ConsultingJersey City, NJ
Error 1200 Lexmark printer
is it making clunking noises when it tries to pull the ink cartridges to the middle? Or grinding noises?
Alignment problem error message.
It could be due to cartridges in the printer. Try the steps below to identify and fix the problem:
- Make sure the printer is on.
- Open the printer cover. The
print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless
the All-In-One is busy. Note: If the carrier does not automatically move
to the center, turn off the printer or unplug the printer from the power
source and then carefully slide the carrier to the center.
- Remove both cartridges from the
carrier.
- Close the printer cover.
- Re-brick your printer by
pulling out the power supply - black box behind the printer where the
power cord is plugged in to, and re-plug after 30 seconds.
- When the printer turns on,
reinsert one cartridge first. Close the printer cover and check for any
errors.
- If no error appears, reinsert
the other cartridge. Close the printer cover.
- Replace whichever cartridge is
causing the error to appear with a new genuine Lexmark cartridge. Try to
print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.
If that doesn't help, try this approach:
Try to re-seat the cartridges in the printer. Open the printer
cover > remove the cartridges > close the printer cover > re-brick you
printer by pulling out the power supply - black box behind the printer where
the power cord is plugged in, and re-plug after 10 seconds. When the printer
turns on, reinsert the cartridges and close the cover. Try to print a document
