Are you using original ink cartridges?? if not replace to original and try as the carts that you are using if have been refilled maybe faulty.

In some cases, the ink cartridge carrier won't position itself in the middle even when the printer is on and the cover is open. Just unplug the printer from the power source. With the cover open, hold the white tape in the middle inside the printer. The other end of it is connected to the carrier. Gently slide the carrier to the center. Load the cartridges. Close the cover. Plug the printer back to power source. Thanks.

Hi there maximum time we found it is a the head problem. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. For resolve the problem please follow these.

Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. Some how if its not come then Unplug the printer & Manually slide the carriage. Now Remove the ink cartridges from the print head & Use wet warm cotton swab or use alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head. Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab. After finished it make the head dry then fix it back. Now Try to print something now
If that does not work then follow the next step.

Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope that's start working , if no luck then Uninstall the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. Now install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.

A4, Letter, or legal-size paper can be loaded. The minimum size that can be loaded into the ADF is 3x5 in. When you load small paper sizes, place your original in the center of the tray and adjust the paper guides to the edges of the paper. When making copies, sending faxes or scanning, load your original document into the feeder, face down.

First, I would check to see that the USB or serial connector is installed properly from the printer to the PC. If that is good, then I would make sure to install the printer driver and the printer software from the Lexmark CD. You can use the Lexmark Solution Center to trouble shoot further (this is the software that comes with the printer).

Sometimes the ink cartridge carrier won't automatically move to its loading position even when the printer is on and the cover is open. Just unplug the printer from the power source. With the cover open, hold the solid white strip and gently slide the cartridge carrier to the center of the printer. Remove the used cartridges. Load the new cartridges. Close the cover. Plug the printer back to the power source.

There are workarounds and ways around the admin password and if you can get in and create another user profile with admin rights. You can google software to crack admin local Windows password to reveal it. There are also boot discs that can crack it instantly which actually deletes it and changes it something you want. The last resort is reinstalling the Windows OS.

How did you even log onto the PC, if you logged on guest.i could understand that. or are you using the old owners password...

Or you do not need a password to get onto the system..If this is the case, you will have to reload the machine with the operating system.. and you will be admin.....

Try to use the updated Lexmark X4270 driver from the Lexmark website. Note: Lexmark X4270 works on Windows operating system only.
Go to this link to download the Lexmark X4270 Driver. Select your operating system version by clicking on change OS.


Click on FILTER.


Then, click on the Complete Driver under Recommended Downloads.
Download, execute the file and follow the instructions on the software.Thanks.
