You will need to check the wireless settings of the router.
Is there any computer online using the router.

Model number - F5D8233-4 if I reset the router
If you do a power off reset the password shouldnt change.
If you do a hard reset the code should be erased. No password until you set one. You can access your routers setting via a hardwired computer using a web browser. Go to the Belkin website to get the IP address for your particular router. Mine is 192.168.2.1. Yours might be different.

Are you trying to set up router ?
You can set up your router manually, without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online directly through the modem.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem, that means the modem is working fine.
You will need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.
