I have had the router
Disconnect the AC power.
Wait a few seconds.
Reconnect the AC power.
If the same problem appears, it's time to spend $20 to $40 to upgrade to a new "Wireless N" router (faster, stronger).

Reset password
hi to reset password you have to reset the whole router, look on the back , there is a small hole, get a paper clip open it out, ( or something that will fit the whole will do) make sure router is on, press the reset button for 15 seconds and it will default back to factory settings, then to access it, just start your explorer, type in search bar, http://192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 then at pop up screen for user name type admin, for password just type password and this will open the menu for the router, then you can put everything back the way you want it, with a password you can remember ....hope this helps

I am not able to connect to my Belkin Router. My
1.Log into router. Using either 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1 in a browser window that is ( internet Explorer or Firefox)
2. Verify wireless router name( on the computer) >>> ( on/off) ( router status window)
3.Note router name you are connecting to.
4.. Check the laptop do ipconfig /all to see current IP addresses.
5. Set the laptop up in the router by WEP KEY or MAC address. This set up in the "security tab" in the router. using 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 to access through a browser.
6.Note router name you are connecting to.
7. Move the laptop about 20ft away and try to log on to the internet.
This is for all routers to set up wirelessly.
8. check for firmware update at the manufacturers site for your model router
9. cell phones, cordless phones, digital TV's, can affect the data signal from a router. Also distance from the router can be a factor. If your router is in a basement place the router to a upper floor and center it in the room.

I forget how to go
How to secure the wireless network
Change the Name of the wireless network and change the password of the wireless network. So that they will not be able to get in to your wireless network.
You want to secure the wireless network.
Is there any computer connected to the router with the Ethernet cable?
If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router with the cable.
Check the IP address on the computer. Open the router set up page.
Once you open the set up page, you will find the option to make it secured

My Laptop(Apple) seems to drop all my network info
Sounds real odd, have you tried repairing permissions? in the application folder is utilities, in this folder select disk utility and select the hard drive, select repair permissions and give it perhaps 10 mins per 100 gigabites, it can take a while.
