I plug my belkin router

Did you run the setup CD that is usually included with the router? You can't just connect the router like that and expect it to work.

Got a new computer I forgot my log in to acess the

Trouble Shooting Steps to by pass the login password

STEP 1: You can by pass this Screen by resetting the router for 30 seconds with the power cable alone connected to the router. You can find the reset button to the right side of the power connecter. And all the settings on the router will be lost and you need to reconfigure one by one again. That is the only solution for this problem

STEP 2: Then connect modem to the router using an ethernet cable one end of the cable on the actual modem and other end in the belkin router on the yellow slot or isolated slot called as "Connection to the Modem"

STEP 3: Then take a second ethernet cable and connect from the router wired slot in any like 1,2,3 or 4 and the other end of the same cable to the computer

STEP 4: And run the Setup CD o setup ur Router again

First you should know your internet service provider details like connection type

Connection type may be of Dynamic, Static and PPPoE

STEP 5: After setting connection type check whether the status is connected on the belkin screen on the right top corner and and if connected go ahead with the wireless settings like

Channel and SSID
Security

Kindly refer the attached screenshot. Which will be more helpful for u.

How to install the router

You should first install the CD that came with the router. When it comes up, it will guide you through the installation process. At the end of the installation, you will be instructed to plug the router in, and connect it to your computer. At this time you'll be able to select a security code to limit access to your router.
Refer to the instructions that came with the router in case you have any problems. It's not as hard as it seems, and you should be up and running within maybe 15 minutes.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

My sister is having problems.

Since you've selected the Premium Assistance instead of Premium Phone Support, you or your sister can't call... Most of all, no experts are allowed to collect personal info from the customers like, email address, private phone numbers, etc...

If you can clarify the exact problem, I can help you fix the problem. May take time depending on the issues, but if there's no hardware or other mechanical issues, it is definitely fixable.

When you get back to me, please include all these with your problem's description:
The operating System installed on your sister's computer i.e. whether windows xp, or windows vista, or windows 7 or etc..etc..

The internet browser she is using (Internet Explorer or Firefox or etc..etc..).

If the Computer is connected to the internet via router, let me know the connection type, wired or wireless..

Or whether the internet connection of the computer is connected through another computer.

Awaiting.

How do i change my

You can find the manual for your router here:
http://www.retrevo.com/support/Belkin-F5D5231-4-Routers-manual/id/557ci672/t/2/
You may want to look from page 18 onward, as this explains how to configure the router from the web interface.
Just remember that if you change the IP address of the router you will also need to adjust the DHCP range that the router gives to your PC (page 34).

Hope that this helps!!
