Did you use the pass key to connect? If you are using the wifi you have to go to here 192.168.1.1 with browser type admin for username and admin for pass and config the the router. To make life easy just use a cable ie Ethernet..

There's no such thing as a driver for a router. You have a wireless NIC driver which can be found on the computer manufacturer site.

Can you give us more information about your setup? Are you trying an ethernet cable? or are you on WIFI? Have you checked your router's DHCP settings, to verify that DHCP is turned on.

Before you start :
The Following Steps Should be done on the computer that is connected to the router (Plugged with a cable)


Step 1 : Make sure you have internet access

Step 2 : Open Router Setup by typing http://192.168.2.1 in the address bar of Internet Explorer

Step 3 : Once you are at the router setup .. on the left side underneath Wireless you can find Wi-Fi Protected Setup

Click it

Step 4 : If it is asking for a password .. leave the password field blank and click submit

Step 5 : Disable Wi Fi Protected Setup and click apply changes

Step 6 : Now on the left under wireless click Security

Step 7 : If it is asking for a password .. leave the password field blank and click submit

Step 8 : Change the Security mode to WPA-PSK (you can also choose WPA-2 but sometimes it doesnt work )

Step 9 : Type a password (8 Characters , It is Case Sensitive)

Step 10: Click apply Changes

Step 11: On the left , Under Wireless Click Channel and SSiD

Step 12: Change the SSiD to a Different name , Change the Wireless Channel to 11

Step 13:Click Apply Changes

Turn On the Wireless Switch on the Computer (If you are using a Laptop to Connect between router)

Now try to Connect to this new network on both your wireless Computers and Ipad

If the RED light is for POWER. Then the router is already busted. If the RED light is for the INTERNET light, then it's just a configuration. If you did not change the password then there is no way to find where it is. Just reset your Belkin Router so the password will be deleted. To reset it, look for the reset button (a small button, you need a sharp object like a pin) and press it for about 15 seconds. It is usually found beside the slot for the modem.

You can get the installation manual on line. Just clarify me your router's model in order to get you to the exact link, or use this link and locate it by yourself.

It is possible that your belkin router stopped working.

Try the router on another network and if is doesn't work, you will need to replace it!

check the date and time on your computer and update it if incorrect.

you can also reset your IE back to its default settings

Tools>internet options> advanced tab> reset button> reset

you dont have a ISP connection.. or your cable is loosing.try to unplug and plug it again properly. if the lamp is not blinking.. im sure it doesn't receive a signal came from your internet connection.

What you need to decide first is that how do you want your network to be setup.

1. You can make one Master Router and another Slave router.
2. You can disable the DHCP server of one router and make it as a switch.

It could be a conflict.. but the main thing is there really is no reason to have a 3rd party firewall installed on windows, it has it's own firewall, then you have the firewall built in to the router, all mcafee's firewall is doing for you is taking up resources and potentially causing conflicts.
I would remove that firewall and see if that helps, if not, reset the router to factory defaults (there should be a reset button on the router) and configure it again, possible that it was not set up correctly or got corrupted somehow.
With the introduction of Windows 98 SE Service Pack 2, there is no reason to have another firewall installed.
