I reset my Belkin Wireless

With a Belkin wireless router you can connect computers to the same Internet connection without having to run cables between all of them. If you don't want any stranger with a laptop that is within the range of your wireless router to be able to access your network you will first need to enable the router's security settings.

1.Power on any of the computers that are currently connected to a network through your Belkin wireless router. Click on the "Start" button and then open the Control Panel.

2. Scroll down through the Control Panel options and double-click the "Devices" icon. Right-click on the entry for your Belkin wireless router and click on "Update Driver." Wait for the latest software driver to finish downloading and then close the Devices window.

3. Open your web browser by clicking on its corresponding desktop icon. Click on the address bar at the top of the web browser's window and type in the string of numbers and dots "192.168.2.1" Press the Enter key to bring up the router's access page. Click on the "Login" button.

4. Leave the password text box blank and then click on the "Submit" button to access the settings menu. Click on the tab at the top of the screen labeled as "Wireless."

5. Find the "Security" link at the center of the page and click on it. Click on the "Security Mode" drop-down menu box and then change the security mode to whichever setting you want. Choose the "128 bit WEP" option from the drop-down menu if you want to enable security encryption on your wireless network.

6. Click on the "Generate" button at the bottom of the screen to generate the encryption key and then type in a password you want to use in the "Passphrase" text box. Leave the box empty if you want anyone within range to be able to access your wireless router. Click on the "Apply Changes" button to save the changes.

I hope you find it very helpful. Best regards.

Try upgrading the routers firmware from the website. They have walk throughs on the website, typically you save the software from the website to your computer, log into the routers management section and update it. If that doesnt work, your router is just junk

There should be a small button that says "reset". You need to use something like a paper clip or the tip of a pencil/pen to press it. Hold this down for a few seconds (all the lights will usually flash when it's reset).

The router should now be back to factory defaults.

Did you try a reset? Also, if you are using WEP encryption on the N router, you are only getting 54MBPS rather than 108MBPS. Use WPA. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/joe_8b8c2cd6ce148309

If you didn't change the administrators password to access the router, plug in via ethernet cord and reset the WEP key
IP address is probably 192.168.0.1. Type that into the URL bar of the internet explorer. That will get you to the routers interface. Default password is admin or it's just blank. No user name.

I can't log into my router using the 192.168.2.1

There should be a reset button on it that you have to use a needle or toothpick to press...hold that for about 10-20 secs to reset it. Are toy sure the default IP is 192.168.2.1 and not 192.168.1.1?
