Well honestly, wireless mice are pretty cheap, but I can understand the attachment to this mouse as I gave one too.
First, try the dongle (usb stick) in another system.
If it works in another system, then the problem is with your computer, not the stick.
If not, I can't tell you how to crack the thing open without destroying it, so do so at your own riskm but you have to get the shell off the adapter and check the solder joints where the USB connector meets the circuit board and solder down .... Oh, I'd resolder all of them!

issue? Check the battery, try syncing it using the connect button on the mouse, make sure the receiver is plugged into a working USB port.

Most new wireless mouses or mice will connect automatically. some earlier models connect differently depending on the make and model. Usually by holding down the conect buttom on the bottom of the mouse at the same time holding down the connect buttom on the wireless device that plugs into the PC. This usually works, if not you will need to download the operator instructions or find the one that came with the wireless mouse.

if that does not work,try using the mouse near the sensor
if still doent work,hit the reset button at the bottom,remove the batteries for a couple of minutes,put it back in then use your mouse on a different surface

Did you try
Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it to Reset/Connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly.
If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.

On the bottom find a battery compartment hatch. Open it and replace the battery. You may have to coordinate the signal with the receiver afterward if the cursor won't move. To do that find the tiny opening nearby and use a paperclip to push the button until it synchs (often they will blink at the receiving g end)-- you may also have to do this with the receiver if it still doesn't move the cursor.

Should just be a cover under the mouse that clips off, you may find some youtube vids showing how to change the battery for your model

press the button on the receiver device first and as it flashes click the button on the mouse it will find it then also you can un install and put disc back in should help but when the light is flashing its searching for device
