Step 1:
Make sure the that router is connected to your modem with an ethernet cable via the router’s internet (WAN) port.

Step 2:
Unplug the modem from its power source and make sure that it's totally turned OFF. Then re-plug the modem to the power source.

Step 3:
Unplug your router’s power supply, wait for 10 seconds and then plug it back in. This will cause the router to reestablish communication with the modem.

If you still cannot browse the web, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

There is a physical issue with the connections inside of your keyboard. The C and the D keys are on the same data line and the C is getting triggered when you press the D key.

You may want to click to wireless network icon on the bottom part on the rght part of your monitor and search for network. Then you may want to chose your network and, if you chosed this option, to type the password for the network.

If you connect the computer to the router , it works.
That means the wired connection is OK.
Open the set up page of the router check the wireless settings of the router.
I think your network is secured and you are not typing the correct network key.
just open the router set up and check the wireless settings .

The easiest way is to turn on the mac restriction feature and only allow the macs from the machines that you want to have access.

Since I didn't see the model of router listed, you will need to refer to the manual for exact instructions on enabling that feature.

You can get the mac addresses from the machines that you want to have access to the router in xp by click Start > Run > type cmd.exe and press enter. Then type ipconfig /all and look for the physical address of your adapter. It should be in the format of XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX. Once you get that information you can allow it in your router.

This will give you basic security on your router.

Hi Christopher s crisp, Is it blinking Orange or steady? Blinking amber: The Router can't detect the modem. Either the modem is off, is not plugged into the Router, or is unresponsive. It could be the modem. You can try connecting the modem directly to computer bypassing the router and see if that works. Check the LED on Modem. Do you have other computers to test the connection? Might need to talk to ISP if issue with Modem. Let me know. Thanks

I think you have the upper light blinking and lower light solid. Is that right? The upper light blinking means that the connection to your ISP is not working. Try unplugging/replugging the Ethernet cable in the top port (probably yellow and labeled "WAN" or "DSL" or something). Check the other end of that cable. If you have another Ethernet cable, try swapping it out. If none of that works, call your ISP to check the connection.

Download the Chromecast App to your phone or tablet. Open the app, search for your Chromecast device and set the device up by telling it your router SSID (name) and password. I believe you can do it with a PC by going to the Chromecast website.

Can i have the brand name of the modem , Your Internet service provider name , so that we can configure the router with using the CD.
We have another method to configure the router that is manual configuration method.
