Vivitar DVR 882HD Camcorder Questions & Answers
Cant get my pictures downloaded onto my computer
On the front, where the camera lens is, is the door you can open to take out the battery if it will not turn off. Hold the camera upside down, and use your thumbs to force the door to side off - it's not always easy to do. Push from the lens, toward the "Vivitar" name.
I have the same model, and mine just started doing this last month, and I've had it for almost 2 years now. Maybe it's just not recognizing the Off command from the button like it used to. I don't know. But taking the battery out always kills it. Then, put the battery back in (correctly) to use the cam again.
Delete pictures from camera? How?
When you are viewing your images on the camera, go through them until you come to the one you want deleted. Then, hit the physical MENU button on the right side of the control wheel (circle...whatever it's called).
You should see three choices. Protect, Delete, and VOLUME. Press down (the minus, or "-", part on the the bottom of the wheel control) until you get to Delete on the screen. Then, press the center button (the silver one inside the wheel - it may not be silver on your camera, I don't know, but it's the same button anyway).
Your next choices will be "Single" and "All". Choose "Single" to delete the single image on your screen. Choose "All" to delete all images that are in your camera's memory (this would be all of the images saved on your SD Card).
But, let's say that you just want to delete this one image. So you choose "Single". A dialog box will come up asking if you want to delete the image. Make sure you choose "Yes" if you do want it deleted. Once you do, the image will be deleted and gone for good. After this, if your menu choices are still open, physically hit the "Menu" button on the right until all the menu boxes close.
