You can also pickup some cheap humidity gauges at a hardware store to check the settings on your unit verses the actual humidity in the house.

The solenoid is going bad and might start a leak later if not fixed or likely won't stop the water flow! Get it replaced!

With many Aprilaire thermostats, the flashing 11 indicates that there is a broken wire between the thermostat and the HVAC system. You should turn off the power to the HVAC system. Then take the thermostat off the faceplate. Check for any damaged wires. If there is a break near the thermostat, take the undamaged section of wire and secure it in the correct spot. Then make sure that all of the wires are properly connected to the terminals. You may need to check the wires at the HVAC control board or in your wall. Assume this is an air conditioner. Suggest the unit is frozen up due to a low ambient temperature. If so then switching it off for afew hours will induce a thaw, which will then drain out. Once de-iced the unit can be returned to service, but ambient air temperature should be above say 12 degrees C otherwise the low dew point will again cause the heat exchanger to freeze up. if its humidifier does it have water catchment bin is it full when was it last serviced
