Mustek 600 III EP Plus scanner, it doesn't matter what is the adapter input voltage is (base on your local country power supply voltage), but as long as the adapter output plug in your scanner is +15VDC/1A Positive Polarity (positive inside and negative outside), then your scanner will work.

take a volt meter and check the power at the end of the power adapter, sounds like it may be a power issue. if all is ok on that end does it still work on the old system? you may have to hook it back up to a working system and see if there is a firmware upgrade for it. Best of luck

You need an AC power adapter if you don't have one. The original was an YHI Power Adapter, model YC-1015-15, Input 100-120V, 60 Hz, 0.4A, Output +15VDC/1A. I know because I'm reading it off of mine (I am the original owner of one, this is about 10 years old). You can find new ones on eBay for $10 plus shipping.

Finally, you need a cable that connects the scanner to the PC using parallel port technology. Both ends are 25 pin Female, and the cable itself is marked as IEEE 1284 compliant. Cable is AWM E101344 Style 20276 30V VW-1 Space Shuttle. Must have 25 pin female connectors, check eBay or http://www.driverforum.com/controller5/10421.html.

Hola Julian: Eso que comentas es el power de tu scanner, puede ser conectado a cualquier toma corriente de tu casa con el adaptador adecuado y no necesariamente a tu computadora.

Pasa que algunas computadoras como la tuya tiene entrada de power para conectar este tipo de devices para darle corriente a los scanner, parlantes o cualquier device externo que necesite power.

Ese cable lo conseguis en cualquier store de electronica, es un bridge. (un puente de corriente entre tu compu y el scanner)

Sino la otra alternativa es conseguir un power supply para tu scanner. Eso es todo.

Re-install again the driver of your scanner, machines hangs up because of the operating system got a problem working with it.
