I researched the solution for error code E000602-0003: Your hard drive is going bad. Using the DSK CHK utility (1&9 while powering up) may fix the bad sector and get rid of the error by trying HD clear & then HD check for every sector in service mode , but more likely than not, the error will come back. You can try to upgrade the system software as well. If nothing works, you need to get the HDD replaced. This problem happens alot in these models. Hope this helps.

There is a poor contact between the DC control PCB and main controol PCB .
to clear this error press * 28 * and select copier &select function & select clear and press OK

First, plug the printer into the network with an Ethernet cable. Then, go into the configuration page on the printer's display and print a configuration page. Look for the IP address. When you have that, go to the computers that need to connect to the printer. (Note that this tutorial is for Windows XP, I am not familiar with Vista but this should give you a basic overview.) Go to Start > Printers and Faxes. Click add a printer on the left hand side of the window. Select a Local printer attached to this computer, and unselect automatically detect. On the next page, click create a new port > TCP/IP port. Type in the IP address of the printer. Then choose the driver you are going to use, you should be able to find the IR 2200 driver under canon pretty easily. If not, go to canon.com and download their drivers. Once you do this, print a test page and it should print. You are then fully configured.

it is a fuser film unit problem,thermistor is a poor contact (or) fixing heater is a problem.
do the following
press additionel function* button at once & press 2&8 buttons at a time and again press additonel function* button.
select COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERROR>OK.
turn off the machine & on its again.

Hello kcraig. I gotcha covered! :-> I am a bit bit long winded but I try to be thorough enough to make sure I help folks.Ok, lets determine a frame of reference. If you were standing in front of the copier we need to focus on the left side, lower, rear corner of the copier. There is a small panel at that lower left rear corner that can be removed with one screw. Once that panel is removed the waste toner bottle will be exposed. Merely remove the bottle and empty it. !!!!!! Please be careful as you will not harm the copier but you can easily turn your office and yourself into a huge mess since the toner is such a fine particulate that it will poof everything if you are not slow, sure and careful as you empty the bottle into a trash bag at close range. I mean it will poof big time if you are not careful, close and slow. There is no "danger" per say, just a re-enactment of of "Hiroshima as far as a big mess. That being said we can assume that you have carefully and successfully emptied the waste toner bottle. Now the next thing to do is to make sure the now empty bottle is correctly prepared to be re-installed. This is the important part. There is a " neck" on the bottle. The neck is what the copier uses to determine the waste toner level. There is an infrared light beam that shines thru the neck of the waste toner bottle and is seen by a light sensitive sensor on the other side of the bottle. When the waste toner rises to the top it blocks the light and the copier gets pissed off. When you empty the waste toner bottle YOU WILL fog the neck of tha waste toner bottle and even though its empty the copier will think the bottle is full. And if you look at the neck you will see the area that the copier is monitoring. So make sure you take a cloth and clean the "viewing area" in the neck of the bottle. Now, you will go into service mode (only techs use) but I will tell you how to. On your control panel press" additional funtions" then the numbers 2 and 8 simultaneously then additional functions again. This should be done in a smooth,timely 3 step procedure.This will bring up a new screen. Several blocks will appear on the screen but the top block will say "COPIER". Press COPIER. This will bring up a new screen that has several tabs at the top.One of those tabs will say "FUNCTION"......press it and then you will get another screen full of tabs. One of those will say"ERR". Press that taB and then in the lower right corner you have the option to press "ok". Press ok and then then hit the "reset" button until you return the the main screen which will of course have the error code. At that point unplug the copier, wait 10 seconds or so and then plug it back in. U R fixed! :-) give me a good grade please and take care. ......SPINAL

Okay, you need to download Canon Network scangear from the Canon website. then take your document...put it on the top feeder...turn you scanner online...open up microsoft word 2003..insert, picture....from scanner or camera select network scangear....custom insert....then scan. The machine needs to be hooked up to a network...but note...a simple cross over cable or usb between pc and the photocopier will not work.

Go to Start|Printers| and then right click select your printer. Make sure there is an arrow next to the printer, and if not, select "Make Default Printer" in the properties drop down box.

e602 is a faulty hard drive you can try holding down the 1 and 9 keys while turning the machine on this will put it into a scan disk mode it may take 20 minute or more to finish . then it should say complete if code comes back you need to replace hard drive

turn off copier on the left side lower left to the rear there is a cover with one screw holding it in. remove screw and cover behind it is the waste toner bottle.. Empty bottle then at the top of the bottle is is 2 little circle indents (windows) clean those indents inside and out put bottle back in turn on copier that should do it good luck

did you check the settings on the blue dial in the trays line up the arrow to the correct paper size this is very common prob for these machines

thats a fuser error do this in this order additinol function key then the 2 and the 8 key and the same time then additional func key again screen should change to service mode then touch in this order copier function clear err ok turn off with main switch turm back on if it doesnt clear you have a bad fuser

guessing its the wrong print driver go to imagerunner ,com and look for different driver

this is probably the sensor inside the transfer sheet or the reflection plate under the cleaning blade assy being dirty. also there is a reflection plate on the bottom of the transfer sheet near the gear assy
