E051 is Horizontal registration HP detection error
0000 At start-up, home position is not detected when the horizontal registration assembly is moved 100 mm in the direction of home position.

That's probably because you're not a tech. The hard drive is not a user replaceable part. Get a tech to replace the hdd, format and install system software using sst.

What error code are you getting? Try to scan again and let it fail. Press system monitor, scan, log. Look for jobs with Result of NG. Highlight one and press details. At the top, look for Result: NG (####). It will display an error number there. What is that error number?

751 cannot connect to server
7xx cannot connect ...
8xx could connect, but error...
801 bad user/pw or firewall
802 user/permissions
899 unknown if successful, may be normal

Check additional functions, system settings, network settings, email/ifax settings. Check SMTP server IP and authentication / encryption.

Ignore POP or recieve options as they are for IFAX.

In Print settings if using PCL select Print as Image. Also Spool Printing. Use PCL5e or PS drivers.

Unfortunately the IR2200 cannot scan to email etc. It can only do pull scanning using the Canon Network Scangear Tool (google it and download from Canon website and read the manual).
The IR2200i however can scan to email using Universal Send.

Hard drive is dead or dying. Will need to get tech to come out, replace hdd, format and load firmware using SST.

Here's something you can try to possibly keep the copier going till a technician can come. Turn copier off using main power switch (on right hand side of copier). Press 1 and 9 while turning it back on. Hopefully you see rectangles dropping on the screen. When this is finished should see download on the screen. Turn copier off then on again. If copier comes up with normal screen should work a little longer, but hard drive will die.

try to add your printer so that you can scan, just click start of your computer then go to all program the add printer or scansoft then restart your pc to take effect

Just refixc ink toner cartrdges then turn the on canon image runner again and check.

Alos check in control panel printer and faxes then right click on current prinrter and give test page.

Also check in adavanced that start priting immediately there.

I figured it out by trial and error.

I need to reset the counter for the cannon 2200 series

bottom left hand side of the left side of the machine there is a small cover with one screw holding it. All you need to do is loosen the screw, remove the cover, and pull out the waste toner container. Please take note that the screw on this cover does not come out all the way

For problems with the hard disk on the Canon ImageRunner (my model is 2220n):

Step 1: Unplug the unit (leaving power switch on), and then plug back in while holding down the 1 and 9 keys

Step 2: Wait. The hard disk will reformat - you should see at first a flashing white block in the upper right hand corner, then you will see white blocks building rows on the screen left to right with the screen eventually filling entirely. This may take an hour or more.

Step 3: After reformatting, your screen should say "Download Mode" at the bottom. Now just turn the machine off, unplug it for a few seconds, plug it back in, and then turn it on (you must switch power toggle off and then on - not sure if unplugging is necessary but it worked for me).
