i cant load music my computer cant detect it

I press on the menu to start the device and it show's PEARL but won't go past that. I've taken the battery out and put fresh batteries in and it remains on that until the batteries died and then I put new battery in and it did the same. It won't go past the loading image and the computer say's to check the device, but from what I can tell, nothings wrong

You will need to go to the RCA website, go to support and put in your model number DVDCP33 and install the driver for that product on your computer. Hope this helps

My Philips MP3 player had the same problem after I saved some non-music files onto it through USB connection. After I deleted these files, it seems to be working okay again. If it doesn't work, I guess you can also try re-formating it.

well i think there is some charging discharging problem ,go for repair!!!try and update its software see if it works oderwise repair is the only option!!

How do you have the settings for playback? Is it on random, artist or album? Check those settings. Maybe something got changed by accident.

If you are unable to open it ,there might be a virus in you flash drive which is causing problem .
Solution:
Select the flash drive and right click .now select autoplay, a dialogue box will appear ,now select open to open it..
if you are unable to do this .
open my computer ,in the address bar ,click on the downn area button in address bar and select flash drive to open .if this also fails you have to format the flash drive ..
Try this in other pc if you are unable to do this on your computer ..now if you are getting same problem ,format it.
right click on it >select format >and format it to remove virus ...

Maybe you ran put of space so it would have automaticaly deleted some songs....

It could be due to outdated codec.

You can try to install CCCP or K-Lite Codec Pack that you can download in the link below

Make sure to remove all codec packs that you have installed before installing the codec packs.

Make sure that the flash drive is formatted compatible - for example NTFS will not be recognized by a FAT32 system. I suggest researching the tv and find out what kind of system it uses to read files and then make sure your flash drive is compatible.

John, try downloading VLC Media Player, I find that this plays more files than Windows Media

I have exactly the same problem with my unit. So far no ideas on why.
