Please make a power off and then start it. Let it to initialize then install the Ink Bottle. Make it off again. and then power on.

You can add a wireless print server to it.  Has to be a Parallel based one.  Printing can be done that way but no network scanning can be done if you have that feature enabled.

Its a fuser code. Hold down both of the arrow keys for 10 seconds, then press enter. Select 2 for engine, ok, select 7 for data log, ok, scroll to 7807 and execute. exit all of the way out until you get back to engine, then select 3 for end. Recycle power.

Reseat the PCU unit

If the copy count is around 150,000 or higher and you haven't replaced the developer as well, it should be replaced. That symptom can cause light copies if it hasn't been replaced every 150,000 cycles.

The document server portion of the copier not only has limitations to it but it has compatiblity problems with it as well when dealing with mulitiple pages. The SODIMM card could be set for 64mb on your copier and the buffer is too small to work with it. It doesn't work the same way as a fiery server does on todays copiers.

Ricoh tech support has told me there are three ways to use the scanner:

1) Scan to e-mail.
2) Scan to ftp server.
3) Scan to document server using a seperate PC as the server.
4) Scan to a local computer using Desktop Binder.

www.ricoh-usa.com has software to do 3 and 4. #1 can be setup by adding the smtp server to your copier in the file interface section by pressing the user tools/counter. You have to have the IP address to the smtp server in order to get it to work. You can contact your internet provider to get that.

Using the document on the copier is for temporary storage and isn't designed to handle big jobs to it as well. You can experience storage problems as well if your print server is full or you are storing faxes to the memory.

The memory can be updated to the copier as well. It can read a SO DIMM PC100 card up to 256 MB. It's an older memory module that they use on older notebook computers. You can get them at computer stores or get them through PNY.com.

Your fuser roller temperature may be set too high or if the paper has been sitting for quite some time, you may have moisture built up in the copiter. Usually a service technician can adjust the temperature for you.

The 2022 has a very limited area for storing document in the copier. It has several bugs in it as well if you put them into PDF multi page mode. The best way to store them is to use an ftp server or scan to email. SMP server will work as well.

That way the Documents can be kept off the copier and stored into an area that is easier to organize the data with.

Document server wasn't designed to be a document server for long storage use.

Go to "start" then "printers and faxes" ( If XP). RIGHT click on your default printer ( Ricoh 2022) select properties, at the top of the screen you will see a tab that says Accesaries" hilight that tab and down on the page that says "duplex" place a check mark where it says duplex. CLICK APPLY or it will not change when you exit.

It is a heating roller warm up error. It should be looked at by a technician to fix the problem. It requires replacing parts to fix it such as the thermistor.

There should be an SC after the error code. Is there one?

Call the dealer who sold it to you and have them call Ricoh. I'm not trying to be a wise guy, but next time spend the extra money for a Sharp.

Actually, there isn't one! But, you can get rid of the message. Press clear modes, 1,0,7, and then press and hold clear stop. Choose copy sp. Scroll to 5, (mode) then scroll to PCU alarm setting. There are 2 options. Display will shut the message off. If it is a 1, make it 0, or vice versa. Interval, will set the count. You can make it an 80, and that will give you 20000 more prints. Personally, I would change the PCU really soon, other wise you will pay for it in toner.

Are you getting any sort of image?? If very light poss cause is the High voltage terminal (HVT) or it maybe as simple as the drum unit is faulty and thinks that there is enough toner in the unit for normal operation. Suggestion change drum unit and test if not then next stop in the line will normally be the HVT.

your firmware got messed up propably so you will need to obtain the controller board firmware , or when you print something you select a function on the pc that is not installed on the machine hope this helps you
