Sounds like it thinks there is a jam. Check registeration sensor flag also exit sensor and duplex sensor. Could be dust or fuser sensor out of place or the duplex guide is broken

Service manual & troubleshooting says this error related to laser unit but this is final solution. To my experience this error mostly because of Micro Door Switchs. Try it by changing Micro Door Switch. I am sure it will help you

When it say the list can not be used, it means the hard drive/disk thet keeps your addresses have failed. The fast way would be to format the hard drive/disk and re-program your info. This commonly happens when the hard drive/disk is active during a power surge/failure or incorrect shut down. Go to service mode by pressing yellow button then 107 then hold the red/stop button for more than 5 seconds, when the screen changes press the first option on the screen(should be copy or system), now press 5832 (HD format) and enter/execute, when "completed" is displayed switch off and on. Now open your internet browser on PC, take out the web address and input your printer IP and press enter, username-admin, no password, on the left of the screen click on address book, now go to add, input all you info and press ok, now log out on the top right of the screen and test scanner.

Hi! If there is a printer with door problems, this is one! Lets presume you have a paper jam, even if you dont see it. The bit of paper can be stuck in this three points: paper cassete, register sensor and fusion sensor.paper sensor gets damaged very often in this machine but the message will be " out of paper". The register sensor ( it tells the machine the paper arrived to the register roller and it can start cordinate paper movement with scanner movement, a question of syncronous efforts),lyes in the right cover, it looks like two small eyes, they must be cleaned. The fuser sensor, tells the machine the paper arrived there without problems but also says it already got out, once the paper comes out. the fusion must be opened to check this. Now, this machine have problems in the door switch, you will see a square hole at the left side of the machine (presuming your facing it with the right door open turned to you) somewhere at half way.theres a switch inside that is actuated by a proeminence in the right door, once closed. If this actuator is broken the machine will keep telling you "close right door".If you see its broken, insert a small screw diver and press in, the machine will start to work and the message disapears, If the case, you have to "Reconstruct " the actuator, in order to touch and actuate the inner switch. Sometimes i do this just puting a screw through the plastic. Other choice is to order a new cover, these actuactors are very fragil. Also the latch that keeps door well shut.you wanna try to push the right door in, sometimes is enought. Hope i been helpfull, sorry my (bad) english. Come to me again if you got no improvement.

Well, the way the question is posed to me, seems very easy to solve that. The machine have two connectors in the back. One says Line and the other says Tel. Just connect the line cable to Line and the telephone in the Tel .The main reason for this two connectors to exist is,the line MUST go to the fax machine first for it to recognize the auxiliary phone, so every time you pick up it, the machine respond to that. As how to operate, memorize numbers, etc, i can only do that by trial, near the machine. You see, in my line of duty, i only repair them, i leave the software for the operator and our rep sales man to deal with. Please try to be more specific. You also have a general functions window,(to activate it, press the white button near the yellow). There you can manage to access, copy, fax & printer details and change them, you can also access the copy (digital) counter. There are a lot of specifications to be adjusted but only in service mode ,reserved, of course, to the technician. Not big secrets, just a bunch of critical data, that, once changed, may leave your machine in a zombie state. Sorry if i cannot be more helpful.
