When i opened my x05
Many time its issue with hard drive so fist swaped the hard drive then check that you face same issue or not .
No operating system found
check the bios setup for hdd detection if hdd detected in bios then reinstall or repair your OS
if hdd not detected by bios setup then you have to open hdd cover
you will find a fpc cable betwen hdd & mother board
just open the connector carefully & refit & apply a small tape pice on the connector lock after reinsert the cable

well i also am facing the same problem sometimes it happens that desired functions of some keys change now what you have to do is along with shift tab you press " key may be @ key change to that or check one by one all the keys along with shift tab may leads you to the desired key . do not worry because rite know i too have the same problem but i sorted it out the same way i told you .

You need a repair/reset CD, and you may need an USB external drive to read it if yours doesn't work or isn't available. The CD may be obtained by Samsung tech support. For Windows XP and Vista you just select OS installation and hit 'R' for repair.

Well if it does that you should make sure all media is unplugged from the computer. If you have the Windows XP Original Release disk insert it and re-install Windows XP. If still says the same error "operating system not found" take it to a computer specialist near you or go on another computer and contact www.microsoft.com, thats all I can say.

Make sure the power cord works and the wall unit in which you plug it into works. If that does not change your problem come into contact with the computers maker and see if you can wing a new battery, double check to make sure that the leds in the computer are not broken too.
HDD connection has broken
The connector to the HDD is loose on these models. Open the HDD port and remove and then clean the cable before putting it back. I'm afraid it's a recurring problem on this model.

This sounds like the old xbox problem of locked drives, there is not an easy way of doing this unless you have the password it was locked with.
