Schwinn 420 Elliptical Trainer Questions & Answers
Schwinn elliptical 411. which wires go to the power inlet contacts.
It's important to ensure that you connect the pink and purple wires correctly to the power inlet contacts on your Schwinn Elliptical 411. Here is how you can determine which wires go to the contacts:
- Look for markings on the power inlet and wires: The power inlet may have markings or labels indicating which wire goes to which contact. The pink and purple wires may also have some markings or labels on them.
- Check the user manual: The user manual for the Schwinn Elliptical 411 may have a wiring diagram that shows the correct connections for the power inlet and wires.
- Use a multimeter: If you are not able to determine the correct connections using the first two methods, you can use a multimeter to test the wires. Set the multimeter to measure resistance and touch the probes to the ends of the pink and purple wires. If the multimeter reading is close to zero, it means the wires are connected correctly. If the reading is very high or infinity, it means the wires are not connected correctly.
Once you have determined which wire goes to which contact, you can solder them together to reattach the power inlet. Make sure the solder joints are strong and secure, and use heat shrink tubing or electrical tape to insulate the connections.
How do I keep the left wheel from coming off the track while using the machine?
The most common fix for the wheels sliding off track is to clean off the lubrication along the rails and then reapply a small amount back to the rails.
The main problem is usually over lubrication.
This is just a quick troubleshooting step and we hope it helps :)

You may be able to reset the main board by detaching the ribbon connector, then reattaching it. Unscrew the four screws that hold the display panel, and you will see a ribbon connector and a round connector. Gently squeeze the tab in the center of the ribbon connector and pull it off. Wait a couple of minutes, then reattach the connector by gently pushing it into the socket. The display should show a boot-up process and then the normal blank screen with the prompt to select user. If the E2 error returns, repeat the process. If this procedure does not reset the board, you will need to contact Schwinn about possibly replacing the board. You can contact them by going to Schwinn.com (

Check power problems if the console on the elliptical
machine does not light up. Make sure that the plug for the machine is
secure in the outlet. If it is plugged in, ensure that the outlet is
receiving power. Check the breaker to make sure it has not tripped off.
Be sure that you are using the correct adapter that came with the
elliptical machine. Because different adapters are able to handle
differing amounts of energy, the wrong adapter will not transfer
electricity like it should. If the adapter is pinched or damaged, this
could also alter its effectiveness.

Make sure the correct adapter is being used if the
resistance settings seem to be too hard or too easy. If the correct
adapter is being used, reset the machine. To reset the machine, either
switch the "On/Off" button or unplug the machine from the wall. Doing
this will allow the device to reset itself to the default resistance.
Turn on or plug the device back into the wall and retry all of the
levels of resistanc
