Cant fax NC to NJ
Yeah, but you need to install their "Full Solution" software and have some kind of land line. I gave up my land line years ago and and strictly FIOS and cellular now. You problem has nothing to do with your equipment. It is a provider problem. Do you need to dial 1 and the area code?? Just guess since I have no long distance issues.
How o I fix the "pick motor stalled"?
If printer within warranty period then contact customer service....it is faulty!
if not then reset by un plugging at mains for 30seconds then plug back in, turn on and wait till warm up and silent.......has it cleared error? If so then print test sheet!
hopefully good to go!
Cartridge problem
With the HP machines you need to check the expiration date on the cartridge often times people get a ink cartridge that the date is expired on and the machine will not recognize it. That would be the first thing to consider.
8600 printer won't print. Only shows preparing printer on the screen. I have never used this. It's a refurbished machine.
Apparently not well refurbished. HP printers are pretty good about bugging you when Ink is low but I'd also check for gunk on the rollers that may have then sticking. The machine does check them but unlike with the ink you will get no "dirty" machine messages. It will just not ever be ready. Also, make sure you have no network printer software running if the printer is directly plugged it via the USB port. Only run that software if the printer is available via your local network. Simply stop such software and your printer will be available for local use again. I had to plug my HP printer directly into the new PC to install the drivers and have not moved it back to being connected to the router and the network printing software will interfere until I move it back.
Why do copies in color have multicolored streaks while black & white are fine?
There is a good chance that your color ink cartridge needs replacement. You can tray wetting a paper towel and putting in the microwave for 5 to 10 seconds then placing the cartridge on it for a few minutes. This sometimes will correct that type of problem...Be careful the paper towel will be hot (handle with care).
Why does my Officejet Pro 8600 have lines across colour printing which do not appear to be removed when I clean the printheads. Any advice?
I've noticed this on my all-in-one HP Office Jet. And though I had a little black ink left, I went ahead and installed a new black ink cartridge. Cleared up the problem. You would think what does black ink have to so with color issues but black is used in the color process. Maybe someone with more knowledge on color balancing may be able to answer that. Also, sometimes it may take several cleanings of the heads to clear them. It also depends on how old the printer is and how often it's used. So these are educated guesses but as I originally indicated my issue was due to black ink that either was old to begin with or had been in long enough to start causing issues.
I hope this helps.
