Creative Labs Gigaworks S750 Computer Speakers Questions & Answers
Can i attach a 3.5mm 2 my speaker
I don't know what your skills are, But if it is a cable with two separated wires, that was connected with a 3,5 mm phone plug not that many can go wrong, as long as you put bot wires to a separate connection point of the plug. Be aware one of the wires is supposed the plus the other minus or common. If you revers this, it could change the case in the speaker, but perhaps you won't hear that.
On the one of the wired often is a white spot or line that can be seen over the complete length. That is how you can see the difference between + and -
If in the cable are a lot of wires, perhaps you should not start at all.
Don't make a shortage, to avoid you blowing up the amplifier.

I have a Creative Gigaworks S700 i have checked both fuses still no power to control box
Stupid question: does the sound still work? it could be the LED just died after continual use (rare, since they last a long time, but not uncommon). If not... it could be the controlling circuit board died. In which case, unless you have electronics repair experience, it would be probably more worthwhile to just replace the speakers, as pricey a model as it is.

Re: creativer gigaworks S750
Hi,
Welcome to Fixya. According to creative labs they do not sell any replacement parts for the speaker systems. You
can see about getting a new control pod from ebay or craigslist but the
problem is more likely inside the subwoofer. Below I have pasted a link
to a forum thread about fixing the Gigaworks S750 systems. There is not
much information there about control pod problems but at least the
people on the thread will help as much as they can. If you are not
familiar with electronics then some of the people on the forum thread
can help if you are willing to ship the subwoofer box to them.

To make these your default speakers, you will need to do the following 1. Find the volume control icon on the bottom right portion of your screen 2. Right click the icon 3. Select change default 4. Cycle through the options until you see the logitech speakers as an option 5. Select this new option 6. If you still do not see the logitech speakers then you need to reinstall them with the provided software. If you do not have software, download it for free from logitech.com
My creative speaker wires cut.
my creative A300 speaker wire from woofer to one of the speaker is cut by mice so how can i join it so that it works fine .
I have a Gigaworks 750,
I did fix this problem and the whole bunch of other ones with the s750 system.
"light is flickering" is a very common! It shows that there is a problem with STANDBY power supply:
1) Yellow glue became conductive (needs to be completely removed)
2) Capacitor malfunctioning C61 (68uF 450)
3) mine had TH1 cracked (replaced from PC power supply) and D9 diode.
If this successfully fixed, you will be able to get 2nd stage power supply on (Relay or power on button)
If you will have problems there, there is a whole bunch of test needs to be done (capacitors, IRF740 etc.)
No sound from subwoofer
Are you using the Creative speaker test program? It usually has a picture of a generic layout of a pc system, with the speakers around it, showing a speaker for each that you should have plugged in. There should be a test button that will play a sound through each speaker. If a sound plays from your center speaker when the subwoofer picture is lit up then you may have a cord plugged in incorrectly on either the subwoofer or on the back of the soundcard. I've ran into this many times.
The best way to set up surround sound is to get your speakers placed or mounted on the wall, then run one wire at a time into the subwoofer, to ensure that the front left is hooked into the subwoofer in the front left, front right into front right, etc. Then once the speakers are hooked into the subwoofer start running the outputs from the subwooofer one at a time into the sound card. After each connection run the test program and watch the pictures light up as the sound plays, and make sure that the speaker playing sound in your place is the same speaker that is lit up on the test program.
I hope that helps, otherwise the amp is probably bad. Let me know if you need more help.

Another thing to keep in mind is suppost is working on what info they have. The speakers you have were manufactured over 3 years ago and are not being producted now. So if you have had them less than 6 months i would let support know this so they can get you an RMA. The big thing you will need is proof of purchase like the receipt or a credit card statement with the purchase on it.
The reason you got the reply that you got is since these speakers are out of production then most of the people that would be contacting them that have the speaker would be out of warranty. So in this case they missed the part about when you purchased them, if you included it.
So I would get back with support to see what they can do for you about getting your speakers fixed.
Let me know if you have any other problems orr questions

I have a Creative Gigaworks S700 (subwoofer) with
first fuse as standard is in the plug to the power adapter. The second fuse is located at the back of the box where the power lead goes into. It is covered so look closely you just need something flat to open it. I have the S750 and that is what im basing this on but if the s700 is the same then you will find this helpful. Sorry did not notice this before.
Hope this helps.
At subwofer some speakers are not working
