I used to reset my dlink 802.11g/2.4ghz wireless

If you have resetted your device frequently then the reset button should have worn out. Just replace the Reset button with a new one that should be fine.

otherwise you will have to log on to the router using the ip address of the router where you will find a link to reset the device to factory setting. just click it. It is the same as pressing the reset button.

You could setup two different profiles, one for each wireless router.
Configure your home wireless router with a different SSID and encryption setting to the office wireless router.
Then configure the wireless card in your laptop with two different profiles, one for the office wireless router and one for the home wireless router. When you want to use the home or the office wireless router, just call up the profile you require.

I need to find the ssid#, wireless channel, wirele...

no setup cd needed. after connecting to a PC, open browser and type in 192.168.0.1 or perhaps 192.168.1.1 -- when the router displays it will ask for a password. if you had one and can't remember it do a hard reset to return to factory settings. then log into it leaving the username blank with the default factory password. many times that password is admin -- download the owner's manual that will have the default password and instructions and explanations for the settings, including how to do a "hard, factory" reset for free at the manufacturer's website. try the help, support, or download sections. the drivers are there too.

Can not connect to internet thorough my dlink 614

Hi,

Please access the web interface of the router and confirm the security key. Also, you can try to change the security key. It can be a possibility that your computer is not synchronizing properly with the current security settings.

If you find that you are putting the right security key then please change the security type to wep 64 bit or wep 128 bit and configure a new key. Also, change the SSID or the network name and try to connect.

In case of any issues please let me know which windows you are running and the security settings on the router.

Thanks,

Rashish

Unable to get to the setup wizard

Start by looking at the lights blinking on the router. Which ones are blinking? How are they blinking?

WHen you've assured yourself of that the router is working properly, open a command prompt (windows button + R) and then type CMD, You will now get a command based interface, type ipconfig /all - And try every single adress that pops up in your browser.

HI i want to buy power adapter for D-Link AirPlus

try first your electronic store, be aware that sometime is cheaper to buy new router than power supply for old one... i would suggest try first in some friendly computer store, where they may have similar adapter for symbolic penny.

do bear in mind that this product is out of production since about 2004... and no support for it since 2007/2008

it uses 5V DC/2.5A power supply

Hi, My connection keeps dropping going through

This would be the router itself not agreeing with the computers ethernet card. I would have a look at firmware first and see if that does not put a stop to your issue, you mentioned you tried a diffrent cable and direct connection was fine then the router is the issue. I would try to firmwar eit first if that does not work I would try a diffrent router at this point.

Problem with sharing router

If you are referring to a cable modem then you may be talking about using both the USB connection and the Ethernet connection. They will not work simultaneously. But if you have a router and branching your connection, then there should not be any problems. Just make sure that when you are accessing the Internet through a router that you make sure that your router's IP address can access the internet after that you leave your computer's IP at Detect Settings Automatically, it works for me
