I need my router password

the default password is blank for that router. the username is adminIf you need to reset your router to the default (erases all data) Perform a 30-30-30 reset which is: Hold the reset button for 30 seconds, (don't let go until you have performed all steps and have held the button for at least 90 seconds total). After the first 30 seconds, unplug the power cord from the router.Wait 30 seconds while still holding the button. Plug it back in, wait 30 more seconds, and then let go, wait NO LESS than 5 minutes(really, go make a coffee, don't interrupt this process) and then try to log in again.

It seems that my router got into an endless cyclic self-check procedure. Powered on, all the LAN ligths are flashing around and around. IS this a physical fault?

Have you done any firmware update on the D-Link? Remove the ISP Ethernet connection. Pull the plug on the D-Link, wait 30 seconds or so, plug in, wait for selftest, reboot computer. If that fails, reset the D-Link to default settings. Reconfigure the SSID and Security Key. If all fails , the device may be bad.

Media disconnected

If you are using one box (or modem/router) only, when your computer says media disconnected, it means that your computer does not detect your modem.
You can try unplugging and replugging the ethernet at the back of your computer or laptop. make sure that the light on the ethernet port is lit up (especially for desktops, not sure about laptops though).
You can also do the same process with the ethernet cable from your modem/router. if your modem/router has other ethernet ports in it, try to connect it to other ports as well. If your computer still says media disconnected, try purchasing or borrowing a new ethernet cable.
Also make sure that your ethernet adapter is working properly and that media disconnected follows after ethernet adapter local area connection and not wireless connection.
Hope this helps!

I want to change my password how shall i make it

If the default password on the D-Link has been changed then - To reset the D-Link back to the default settings - Press and hold the RESET button at the back of the router with the power ON until the LEDs flash at the time the release the RESET button. (firmware version was 3.00, and upgraded to 3.05) Connect a LAN cable from the D-Link to your laptop/computer's LAN port, open the browser on your laptop/computer and enter the D-Link's configuration URL.. http://192.168.0.1 The default login = admin The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default admin password. You can now configure the wireless settings. (WPA or WPA2 encryption to protect your wireless network and Internet from unauthorized access). Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop with the router's wireless settings. To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on this link and follow my instructions :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

Lost my WEP log in code. Have no idea what it is. What can I do?

You need to reset your router.

I believe that you can do this by pressing and holding the reset button (You may need a paperclip to do this) for 30 seconds. the power LED will start to blink, and then it will reboot with the defaults. You should be able to connect to it with 192.168.1.1. The default password is likely "password".
