D-Link DWL-G700AP 802.11g/b Wireless Access Point Questions & Answers
Hi, the power light on
Power-off the router. Turn it on.
Does the WLAN light show activity?
If not, it is "dead", and needs to be replaced.

My wlan light doesnt come
Replace the Ethernet cable between the DSL/Cable modem and the D-Link. Power-off that modem. Power it on. Power-off the D-Link, and power it on. You should be good to go.

192 168 700
An IP-address needs *FOUR* parts, e.g., '192' and '168' and '70' and '0'. Each number must be less than 256 -- '700' is not correct.

Hi i have a d-link
Go to your management software inside the access point. Default IP address is 192.168.0.50. If you changed it, go to that address with a browser. Default login with "Admin" without a password. If you set up a different administrator id and password then login with those credentials.
Go to the "Advanced" tab. The setting on the MAC address settings are important here. Hopefully you know how to get the MAC address of the phone. I don' have the same phone so I can't tell you how to get it. Ensure that you have entered in the phone's MAC address and any other devices that you connect wirelessly to. If you have registered the MAC address under the second radio button or you have the first radio button clicked, you have a WEP or other password issue. Many public access point don't filter any MAC address and don't require passwords. When setting up at home, you do have to at least these up.
Hope this helps. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at

I have the d-link G700AP
You should be able to connect to a wireless printer. Before trying to connect it just read the instructions supplied with the printer and do a dummy run without turning anything on so you have an idea what you should be doing.
Make sure you're installing the right drivers for your version of windows, if not on the disc, download them from the manufacturers website.

D-link website is 1.02
If you are referring to
German web site page showing a dwl-g700ap_fw_revB_v213b06.zip file be sure to follow the instruction to UNZIP the web_dwlg700ap_v200_r11_0408.bin file:
DWL-G700ap Firmware Update
- Browser starten
If you did not unzip the bin file router cannot run it as firmware update
More over be sure to run the update via LAN cable connection (no WLAN)

How can i find the ip address of my Wireless
Hi, here's how you can find your access point's IP address:
The access point is also your default gateway, because it's the device that you use to access the Internet, right? Open up a command prompt window (go to the Start menu, click on Run, type "cmd" and then hit Enter) and type "ipconfig" and hit Enter.
A bunch of information will appear. The one you want to look for is the one called "Default Gateway." The IP address that appears following "Default Gateway" is your access point's IP address.
Please rate this solution based on how helpful it was. (If you still can't find the IP address, add a comment and I'll be happy to reply.)

I forgot my d-link wireless router network key.
press a ball point pen into the reset hole in the rear of the router. Now you will have to set the router to secure and ask for a password....just pick one you already use or write it down and keep it close to your computer

Lost wep passphrase, can't navigate
There are two ways of going at this problem:
- Connect your computer to the router using an ethernet cable. Open up your router's configuration settings (the webpage used to setup your router). To do this, open a web browser, and type in your router's IP Address in the browser's address bar (i.e. 192.168.0.1). A window should pop up asking for a username and password. Enter your username, and password (if you haven't set a new password, the default log in is username:admin, password: (blank)), and then you will be brought to the webpage. Once you are here, look for the wireless-security area of the site, and go to it. Under this area, there should be a passkey/passphrase bar. You change it, or just see what it is.
- Use a wep passkey recovery software.
