To perform a reset, please follow the steps below:

Step 1 With the unit on, place a paper clip into the hole on the back on the unit labeled Reset
Step 2 Hold paper clip down for 10 seconds and release.

Note: Do not repower unit during this procedure.

Step 3 The unit will reboot on its own. Once the WLAN light stops blinking, the unit is reset.

Note: Resetting the router does not reset the firmware to an earlier version. It will change all settings back to factory defaults including IP address, username and password.

To configure the D-Link router, you will next need to open a web browser and type http://www.192.168.0.1
You should see the administration screen of the D-link router. type in admin and leave the password filed blank.
A setup wizard should appear, prompting you to first change the router’s password. Pick something you can remember.

Check in your router to see if your router is set up to be a DHCP Server. If your router and adsl are both set up to be DHCP servers, sometimes they will fight with each other and some computers seem to have problems getting adresses from this kind of setup. Make sure that only one is set up to give out adresses, then check on your second computer to make sure that it is set to obtain adress automaticaly. If someone has set a manual adress in that computer that is not on the same subnet as the router, they will not comunicate. If this does not solve your problem, try putting in manual adresses into both computers: IE 192.168.1.2, subnet mask 255.255.255.0, Default gateway 192.168.1.1 in the first, and 192.168.1.3 in the second with the same subnet and default gateway,

Your pc or laptop ip must be in the range of 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200 so you have plenty of IP's to choose from.)

Ensure you have the correct DNS and gateway addresses assigned as well. Usually 255.255.255.0

Disconnect the router and turn it off then press and hold the RESET button on the back of the router for 30 seconds.

when the local area connection is conected go to your explorer then type 192,168,0,50

Your router may have a different ip address. Most networks assign IP address dynamically by default though you may have set your statically. You dont indicate which.

1) Reset do default the device (rear reset button)
2) Set your PC a IP like 192.168.0.xxx (defaul IP address for DWL-2100 AP is 192.168.0.50)
3) Connecto via browser to 192.168.0.50, defaul login


To set IP address on you PC: goto LAN devices, click properties on your LAN, scroll down and selectInternet Protocol (TCP/IP), click properties, click set followingIP address:

IP: 192.168.0.1
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.50

Google the model number with the model number and a question like What is the ip address to access router model XXXXXXX. It will give you a 192.168.------. It should also give you the default username and password. Then you push the reset button on the router which resets the router to the defaults. You can now access it and setup your own wep or wpa key, password etc. Be well

check these sites are blocked with the firewall in your outer.goto router page 192.168.1.1
check the settings.if you still cant find reset the device will do better.

from internet explorer open your D-Link 192.168.0.50 (default) page and log on as admin , password blank, run setup wizerd , it would ask for new password and put new password and restart.

throw it away

it is not the power, but it is searching for a signal to connect to via cable. make sure the cable is connected correctly

change adapter .if it still not working .
Then press reset button for 15 seconds then try.
Reset button is in back side of your router.
Also change power outlet then if it not works then there is some hardware circuit issue with router.

This is the power cycle of death. No way to recover at this point. Send in for repair.

Once reset right click on the connection in the task bar ( icon with two computers) click status, click properties, scroll down and select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), click properties, click use the following IP address:, and add the following:

IP: 192.168.0.66
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.50

Click OK, OK, and Close, Now Enter 192.168.0.50 in internet explorer and it will work.
