Commercial freezer stops cooling and goes into delay start mode.
unfortunatly the company has gon out of buisnees and parts availableare kind of hit and miss. As a profesional technician it really frustrating.I would definitly look at the control side of it. some it could be the relay or digital controller. Good luck hunting the parts down. There are some online parts dealers that still carry some parts. Have your model numberand serial number readily available when ordering.

sounds like it may be overcharged. The popping sound is actually liquid refrigerant coming back to the compressor. Has it been worked on recently? If it has trefrigerant will have to be removed.
Completely dead
let's start with the basics. Are you sure you are getting the correct power to the unit? If 120 volts, use meter and check across power and neutral, not power and ground. If correct power is present, check the defrost timeclock for proper operation. If bad and stuck in the defrost cycle, nothing will work except for the defrost heaters. It should terminate defrost cycle and return to the freeze cycle, but if terminator is bad, it will just sit in defrost. Start here and get back to me and we can continue.
Evaporator freezes up

Im assumeing its frost free.. so that means a defost problem.. heaters, defrost themostate or timmer.

J3GF-61S.In your model number its J36F but actual model number is J3GF.
