lts probably the connection issue, it can be a faulty cable cable, improper installation or a bad connection. their may be a video output setting on the device that you must set properly before it will output to the TV. if your display occurred while your your TV is connected to other device like a DVD player, try to change the TV port. if the problem persist you might have an issues with your HDMI cable.
