buy a usb mouse and forget the touchpad, you can try removing the touchpad then restart the laptop then let it find it again and it will reinstall the device. But the problem will probably return. I had a nightmare with this problem on a compaq, which i gave up fixing as it just kept recurring and i purchased a wireless mouse for it

happy to help dude after searching for ur drivers i found them on hp's website the only problem is they dont support windows 32 bit. chipset drivers. u need to get a 64 bit version for that . and the drivers are listed on the webiste.

if u have recovery partion on your hdd you can factory set your laptop by pressing f11 at startup
