Oil or coolant problem causing overheat or seize condition due to lack of oil.

Relay is shot... the click is the low voltage circuit closing the switch but the power isn't traveling through the high side. Relays are cheap ... if you have an old junk car lift the hood open the fuse box on the drivers side it is loaded with little square relays. . . The idea is the switch isn't supposed to have large amounts of power flying through it so they place a relay which is a magnetic switch away from the use... when you activate it the magnetic current runs through the iron in the switch and it closes the circuit.

First, empty your fuel tank and pour a 2% fuel mix in it. Remove the oil hoses coming to the carbs. Put the ends in 2 recipients. Run the engine for a few minutes. Oil must come in the recipients. I couldn't find an exact quantity in the Service manuals. The theoretical mix is 50:1 ( 50 liters fuel with 1 liter oil) So, the best way is to have a full tank 50/1 fuel/oil mixture AND a full oil tank. Sail a few hours, refuel ( count how many liter you've burned. Refill the oil tank to level. Check that the fuel/oil ratio is about 50:1. You can adjust the mixture with the cable on the oil pump.

Is your battery wel loaded? If no, recharge. If Yes, I think your startermotor is seized... They don't have an easy access...

Low oil in tank? Fuel gauge working? Engine gets hot? You should ee some information in the display...

Well you have a few options here to try and fix this issue. First I would check the kill switch boot and make sure that its still intact. If not then the kill switch is the problem. Second thing is checking all the fuses Third if all checks out ok, your going to want to run a few tests on your CDI. Once you open the front cover, there are two wires a black and a white. your going to want to disconnect those and then check spark or start. check the rubber drive connection to the pump ( wave runner )or prop if outboard

some will turn over with kill switch off so check the kill switch is working ! 2 wires , make or brake switch so try disconnected then connected as you try to start !

Running too slow for too long can cause this,four strokes like a good run
