1 Turn on the camera, then press the "Menu" button. 2 Highlight the "Setup" tab on the menu. Press the left and right arrow buttons to switch between the menu tabs. 3 Highlight the "Language" setting, then press "OK." Press the up and down arrow buttons to switch between settings. 4 Highlight the language you want to use, then press "OK."

Repair would cost more than replacing the camera.

If you also have the relevant manual, that will be of great assistance, as there is probably a diagram explaining whereabouts to insert the card. Should you have been unfortunate to have mislaid the manual, all is not yet lost - you may be able to obtain one from Kodak themselves, or if you do a Google search for the make and model, followed by the word manual, there should be a link to a PDF.

Jack, I have a Z981. When I examine the battery door, it appears to have two places where the door latches when you slide the latch to lock it. It may be that one or more of the metal tabs that fit into the two places to secure the battery door has become bent. I cannot get the battery door latch to move if the door is open, but you should have no trouble identifying the two metal tabs that are used to hold the battery door closed.
