You have not supplied the manufacturer's name but if you can access the web from another network connection the best thing to do would be to look up the support site [again, you didn't provide the name of the maker so I can't supply it for you here] for the router in question. There you would have access to the firmware update file(s) you will need to resolve your problem.

Copy them to a USB key drive or burn them to CD-ROM and use them to flash the chipset and correct any corruption of the current firmware you believe might be the source of your issues.

DO REMEMBER to use the administrative interface for your router to save any settings you may have previously made to a file to easily restore them after updating the firmware, as all settings will have reverted to factory defaults after doing so.

Ok this is weird but i have had this problem.
In my case my password ends in a number so i hit send while still in the number screen. Apparently going back to the letter screen before hitting send caused the password to work.

Connect the modem to the router and the router to the roku player(wired/wireless)

Restart the roku player and check if you are able to see the welcome screen
If yes configure the settings on the player
Choose the network type,if wireless enter the security mode after connecting to the network
Then link the roku player and then activate your netflix account

If No then change the input on the television using the television remote

Then proceed as mentioned above

your accespoint has a hard resetbutton, a small one wich can be used by pressing it with a pen. hold it for 10 - 30 seconds and the accespoint will be set to default settings.

btw I STRONGLY recommend you to have a protected network at all times!

when you change the wireless security on the router , it is recommended tht you will change the wireless network name also ( SSID ). Because when you try to connect to the wireless network on the computer, your computer will try to connect to the same old network name with the old wireless security settings. To avoid this you can change the wireless network name. WPA is supported by windows XP SP2 and above operating system.
If the operating system on your computer WINDOWS XP SP1 and if you are trying to connect using the windows utility then you would not be able to connect to the network .

If not then you will need to connect the computer

I have some bad news, I bought this Belkin before for my self and for a customer one time. I had to replace it after a short while for myself and then for the customer. This is not a good router. I would'nt waste my time. Try a Linksys (now Cisco) router.

Step 1 :Connect Router - Computer (Wired )

Step 2 :Open RSP By typing 192.168.2.1 on the address bar of internet explorer

Step 3 : On the left hand side under wireless click security

Step 4 : Select the allowed client type as 64 Bit WEP

Step 5 : On the key one type a 10 digit number ( Number Only) Make sure u remember this number
This will be the password for ur network

Step 6 : Click apply changes

Step 7 : On the left side under wireless Click Channel and SSiD

Step 8 :Change SSiD Into a Different Name

Step 9 :Click Apply Changes

Step 10 : Restart the Router

Step 11 : Scan and connect to the new name

Step 12 : Type the password ( 10 digit number)

Step 13 :Click connect
And now your neighbour anna jordan will not be able to access your network with the password

That means the wired connection is OK.

I had to restore my laptop to the manufature original settings. My belkin54g wireless router is showing up but it won't let me connect. When I go into network connections iw ould see Not connected firewalled. How can i fix this

OPEN RSP by typing 192.168.2.1. in the address bar of internet explorer

If it is a bunch of dots (WPA) Uncheck Obscure PSK

If it is WEP The key that is selected is youk Security String

If that works then the modem is working.
Now connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
You will need to open the set up page of the router to check the settings of the router.

If you can access the configuration page of your belkin router you have to copy the MAC address of your computer to the router. The router has the capability to clone the MAC address. It's because if you have a cable internet connection the MAC address is registered in the server.

On the router you will find a reset button. Hold it down for 30 seconds and then release it. Unplug the power to the router and plug it back in. Wait for 30 seconds. Now try to reconfigure the router.
To set up the router , you don't need manual or CD. You can do it manually.

First make sure that your computer is able to go online when you connect it directly to the modem. If that is working, then you just need to open the router set up change the settings of the router .
