If you are able to hear sound while starting PC issue is not with sound card. that is installed and working properly. If you are clicking on any file that is not playing then window media player is not supporting that file. If you are directly opening window media player from start>>Program>>access>>>>window player and it is giving error. It mean that your player is corrupted. nothing you can do about it ... if you dont use the wireless you can disable-it from bios and the light willl shut down....
i have the same laptop ..and except the battery that goes fast it's a reliable laptop
PS you would better use w7-x86/32 bit and it will performe better

your graphics driver is got corrupted. Install it with the cd that came along with your pc.

you need to download the proper drivers for the Graphics Card Right click your desktop go to settings go advanced Go to the intel(R) tab and hit Graphics Properties thin pick' either Dual Display Clone or Extended Desktop and Click Apply.

Wierdly the Monitor 2 will Still he greyed out in the settings Tab but the monitor will display Good luck

You need to remove the bios battery, short across two prongs or solder joints on the motherboard or if your lucky, flip a dipswitch. Some motherboards have the battery solder in so it is not easily removable.
The location of the dipswitch (almost never a jumper) can be under the keyboard or on the bottom of the laptop in a compartment such as the memory compartment.
Older computers and especially older laptops don't have jumpers or dipswitches and require the user to jump a pair of solder beads on a circuit board. The identification and location of these solder beads can vary and if not available in computer documentation is only obtainable through the computer manufacturer.
If you've identified the solder beads they can be jumped by placing a flat-head screwdriver over the two beads and leaving it on those beads while turning on the computer. Once the computer has booted turn off the computer and then remove the screwdriver.
There are programs that say they can reset the password but they are not for the faint of heart as again you can ruin your computer very easily.
Remember, a wrong move and you can ruin the computer so proceed with caution. I take no responsbility for ruining your system. Although expensive, returning the computer to the manufacture is the safest way to reset the password.

YOU GO ON SAFE MODE AND CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT . TO GO IN SAFE MODE PRESS F8 BUTTON WHILE BOOTING WINDOWS. ONCE IN SAFE MODE CRATE A NEW ACCOUNT, THEN RESTART THE PC. ONCE YOU RESTART LOG ONTO THE NEWLY CREATED ACCOUNT AND GO:
CONTROL PANEL> ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS> COMPUTER MANAGEMENT> ON LEFT SIDE SELECT LOCAL MANAGEMENT AND GROUP>THEN SELECT USERS>THEN U WILL SEE LIST OF USERS .
RIGHT CLICK THE USER U NEED TO RESET PASSWORD THEN SELECT ALL TASK SET PASSWORD>CLICK PROCEED> THEN LEAVE NEW PASSWORD AND CONFIRM PASSWORD BLANK THATS ALL

If that work you may be able to get sound from there. you may also be able to out something for sound in a usb port to get sound. check on those things... 1. Turn off the power of the computer.
2. Disconnect the AC adapter and all other external devices from the computer.
3. Turn the computer upside down.
4. Release the battery lock switch.
5. Pull out the battery pack while sliding the battery latch toward the arrow pointing.

First I would attempt to kill all the viruses with a very good tool called Malware bytes. It kills all of the above. Update the definitions file before you use it. Reboot after scan and run again to ensure cleanliness.

You cannot connect any satellite receiver with your labtop directly. Its not VGA port on receiver, its RS232 port to update firmware of receiver.

It may be overheating or you are running too many applications. Try shutting some down from the start up menu.

Sounds like the firmware has gone from the sat box
take it to a satellite repairer or if you feel competent enough you can use a null modem cable to download the version from your box and then you can then download the firmware from the internet and then install firmware onto box! this happens alot with topfield sat boxes but some wont accept the firmware its a 50/50 chance but give it a shot you cant get any worse!

i had the same problem, then i look for toshiba viturle sound wont work so try to install soundmax AC'97, coz R10 used Intel 82801DBM board. just search for intel 82801DBM Drivers
