I, personally, never look at the arrow.. run be "feel" ..when you are running the boat from the trolling motor, you can sense which way the boat is going. Run by "feel" and you will become a much better trolling motor operator.. and a BETTER Fisherperson!!! This way you NEVER have to look down just to see where you are going...this is what really amateur fisherman do!! PRACTICE running the trolling motor TOO!!

Has the unit been sitting for a while? Have the carburetors professionally cleaned and set, this should cure your problems. A professional motorcycle mechanic can do this too!! It should get on plane then!!

Is this a pull start of electric start? If you engine will start electrically.. STOP, take this to a professional. EITHER way.. this is a DANGEROUS situation!! You have a serious issue - PLEASE do not use this boat until you get this fixed!!!

what did you actually clean? An outside the hull transducer MIGHT only need a LIGHT sanding on its face with 400 grit WET sandpaper. What did you refill...and with what did you refill it?? What did you disassemble? If you took your unit apart, time to send it to the factory and pray they can fix it!!

Remove the big nut on top. Use the correct puller!!

If you are using fuel this rapidly, I would not run this engine until I took it to a Professional and have them go through the entire fuel system!! This could be leaking fuel into the engine and draining out from the bottom of the cowling... IT CAN BE/IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION = FIRE!!!

You have a trim tab under the cavitation plate(or you should, it looks like a little fin upside down..its right above the prop. Make sure it is nearly straight. Make sure your motor is not (mounted) too far down in the water. Power steering will HELP!!

This is an issue a professional needs to address, Sometimes they can see what you don't. If the cable/linkage is not adjusted to factory specs you could have more trouble!!

OOOPPSSS.. this is a common issue after some updates... you might have to uninstall the updates!! Bird's are notorious for not taking updates and still working as before.. call humminbird service.
