Panasonic troubleshooting

The brushes of model EY7440 from between building year 2007 and 2009 have brushes what hangs split in the lengt. and have no pressure on the commutator of the ancre, if you have a multimeter and push the trigger (with a 14,4 battery connected) then you must have a voltage on the brushes , if there is no voltage on the brushes the switch could be damaged or you are forget to set the little steel springs in the middle on the brushes so set that they are pushing the brushes on the commutator collectors of the ancre ? 24982893-2vfo5hzdneyrud5moq1xtacb-2-4.jpg good luck

Cordless starts and stops sporadically

You have eliminated the trigger. So try this; clean off the armature with some electrical contact cleaner and a cotton rag check the brushes (may need to be changed) clean the sections where the base of the armature (and the top) articulate with the base of the motor add a graphite based lubricant to those areas before reassembling

Impact driver

IF ......It, s an older model Panasonic EY with carbon brushes the armature (motor) and brushes allways both parts must be replaced for a longer lasting repair in that case but don,t forget to inspect the state of the wires and 2 mosfets that are placed on a separate heatsink below the switch look at that part either , if the tool is older then 4 years and you trust the switch no longer when in doubt do not repair. it, the marketing and warranty on Panasonic are now in better conditions . ask your dealer

RILL IS BEAPING WHEN YOU PULL THE TRIGGER

Giving 2 short beaps and 2 red leds on it blinked . If its a EY7440 ? the control pcb must be the problem itself , but if its a brushless model then the 6 mosfets on the motor could be short circuit EY754* was oft the cause, but they have modified the motor for the new EY75** models with brushless motors . rill-beaping-when-pull-trigger-mhucwgdeevnzvqxh2vgvynmt-4-2.jpg

Why my 14.4 ey7440ln2s will not work when you pull the trigger. if you remove the battery then replace let works ok.Then if i take my finger off the trigger for longer than 10 seconds i have to repeat

The pcb control can maybe defect ,when there are 2 flashing leds on the frontside of the battery holder. If the tool was made before 2008 there where splitting brushes they where made to soft, after this years there was a modification WEY7440L2307 a hard brushes assembly the tool may have for 10 years warranty if there where hidden defects if youre machine was made before 2008 , the dealer must know about that problem. PANASONIC have mostly hidden defects and modifications on brushes or the brushless engines by other models.
