Can't get position fix

Check to see if the date and the start point location where you are located are properly set. The GPS needs close enough location and date to know where it is starting from.

Read the instructions about the initial setup.

Map loading from SD card

Yes go to the Lowrance web site and down load the fix to a sd card , put the sd card in the i finder and it will update it automaticlly. I have not done it for map create 7.0 but have for map create 6.3. On the web site look under suport or downloads and you should find it. There is also a lot of free lake maps that you can download to sd card also. Good luck

Lowrance 500c screen

Original manufacture only, unless you want to take a chance and search eBay or something like that for used parts. The used or recycled part you buy may have a defect.

I have a Lowrance x-51

You should be asking the repair guys about how much it will cost to repair. They determined the specific parts that have failed.

The members here are not fortune tellers and crystal ball readers. We have no idea of what parts have failed inside of your unit!

I have a Lowrance x-55,serial

The transdoucer (sensor) may have been damaged. Try a new one. It can happen that there is a problem with the unit itself, but I am strong to think it is a defective transdoucer.

Waypoints

Hi there

Sounds lie it has a memory problem... perhaps a failed internal memory chip... are you using an external mem card with it as well?

If I get a new Lowrance GPS, can I use my SD card

First use "add gps" and add the original unit and the H20use "receive from gps" to call in the original waypoint file from your sd carduse "send to gps" to save the new waypoint file to the sd cardremember that the original gps file may contain more waypoints than the H20 can hold so you may have to delete some waypoints from the file while in EasyGPSif this is not clear enough, let me know and I will try again. I use the program all the time. I just realized I left something out. EASYgps does not like the Lowrance HDS File version so an extra step is required if you are transferring files from an HDS to an IFinder. Save your HDS waypoints as Version 3 to the SD card and EASYgps will accept them
