Error 11x90x8x when trying to reinstall software for cx4230

You may download Kodak software from here.Do you really need the Kodak software? The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

I can't format my new digital camera memory card

What type and size memory card? The CX4230 works with MMC and SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

I need to know how

David, Since this is a duplicate problem, I'll give a duplicate answer. :-)

It is easiest to link you to your camera manual.

Click on:

Kodak CX4230 Manual

Go to page 20 in the manual for instructions.

While you have it open, save a copy to your computer for future reference.

Here it is if you don't want to do that:

In Capture mode, press the Menu button.

Highlight Self Timer , then press the Select button.

Highlight On, then press the Select button.

Press the Menu button to turn off the menu screen.

Place the camera on a flat surface or use a tripod.

Press the shutter button completely down to take the picture.

The red Self Timer light turns on for 8 seconds, then blinks for 2 seconds. The picture is taken.

Take some good Christmas Pics! Merry Christmas!

Vista?

Yes.
Here's the website regarding the camera's software for Vista.

http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/downloads/dln_ekn026247.jhtml?operatingSystem=windows_vista&downloadLanguage=en

Install this software first.. then plug in camera.
If you have another software tha manages pictures on your computer (like Roxio, Adobe, Picasa, Vista, Microsoft Office) The kodak software WILL attempt to take over the management of your photos on that computer. Just a heads up. :)

Have fun!
