None of my memory cards work in my Easyshare DX 4530. The camera states that they need formated even the ones that have been used in it before.

Well, in that case, make sure you have backup of the images on them, then format them.

I just inserted a 8

8MB or 8GB? If it's actually an 8MB card, you'll be able to put maybe two or three pictures on it, so I'll assume it's an 8GB card.

The DX4530 is designed to work with SD cards. Your 8GB card is actually an SDHC card. While SDHC cards will fit into SD devices, there are electronic difference that prevent them from working there. SD cards will work in SDHC devices but not the other way around.

You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

I have tried numerous times to charge two different Kodak batteries on two different chargers and they only hold the charge for 1-2 hours. The batteries never did this before and they are new. Could

Almost all easyshare (and Kodak cameras) eat batteries..... in my opinion, they're not worth the materials they're made from.

My Kodak EasyShare DX4530 camera dock not charging batteries.

There was an issue with the 4000 series and the NiCd batteries I remember that had to do with the contacts in the camera.  The charging circuit is in the camera so you have to make sure that the battery contacts are clean, both on the battery and in the camera.

My macbook air does not have an optical drive how can I get the soft ware for my kodak dx 4530 on my computer?

You don't need any special software. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo cataloging program.
