Hello, The eyepiece does not have to be removed, the camera body sections are quite hard to separate, The rubber flaps do not need to be removed either, but there are screws under them. Use great care and go easy.Best Regards, Russell

Hello June, This sounds pretty easy, I repair these cameras. It sounds like you have a problem with the adapter that plugs into the wall outlet. Remove the battery from the camera and plug the a/c adapter directly in to the camera and try to power on the camera,if it powers on then the problem is the dock,if it do not power on it is the a/c adapter.Best Regards, Russell

Hello Charlie, Hook your camera directly to your PC with the USB cable, The computer should see Kodak Easyshare, Double click on it to open and check in the folder shown for your photos and down load or delete them as you wish. As far as the SD card error it sounds like possible camera firmware problem,go to Kodak website under support for Dx7590 for the firmware and instructions.Best Regards, Russell

Hello Alex, I repair these Kodaks and the problem is no fault of yours.These models suffer from switch problems as they age.If it's not the main rotary switch it is the small joystick in the center of it. The repair cost exceeds the cost of replacing the camera, just not worth it.Sell yours on E-Bay for "parts" and by a good used one.Best Regards, Russell

Hello, I repair this type of Kodak camera and there is not an easy solution to your problem. It is the down fall of this series as they age. You will be better off to replace the camera than the cost of the repair.Best Regards, Russell

Hello Caroline, I repairs these models and when I get one that has been dropped it is usually pretty serious !!!! The repairs are not cheap and you may be better off just to purchase a good used camera of the same model so you can still use all your accessories, batteries, charger, memory cards,etc. Try selling yours on E-Bay for "parts" and buying one there.Best Regards, Russell

Hello Richard, A new battery is not going to solve your problem, you have an internal malfunction in the DX7590 unit that will require a camera tech to repair. The repair will exceed the value of the camera,my advise would be to sell yours on E-Bay for "parts" and by one like it in perfect working order so you can still use all your accessories.Best Regards, Russell

Hello Helen, Sounds like you have a lens actuator assembly problem, it is powered by a motor that turns the gear assembly unit. This is not good news, and will require a camera shop repair. You are better off to sell the camera as "parts" on E-Bay and by one there that has no problems.Best Regards, Russell
