go to lexmark support select driver download find your printer download your driver.

Re-install the driver please.

try to insert a CD which pertains your printer driver. Then install the printer and its USB cable from the laptop to the printer . Once the driver is properly installed, then you can go ahead and test your printer if it can print.

Disconnect the printer from the computer. Then download the newest software for the printer, the Disc might be out of date and not work. Please uninstall any lexmark drivers you might have already installed from start -> control panel -> uninstall programs.

download and install this, then plug in the printer when asked.

I am not very sure what exactly you want to know or you need, but I assume you need the driver or the installer disk/software. If so you can download the drivers/softwares from the Lexmark Official website. Since you didn't mention the Operating System installed on your computer, I can make this specific, but have these options for you.
1. For windows 2000/xp/2003 (Open the link and click "Download Now" just below the Download File)
2. For windows vista 32 bit

3. For windows vista 64 bit

4. For Mac Os X 10....

5. For Mac OS 9....

Hi.

If the printer is an inkjet, then the 6400 is a Z45.

In that case if you have misplaced the disk you can follow instructions listed on the link below to download the driver software from Lexmark website:

If the printer is an IBM-Lexmark 6400 impact printer, the driver for newer system are not available. This printers DO NOT WORK with Vista and Windows 7.

The drivers are available from Lexmark: http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=answers&startover=y&locale=en&userlocale=EN_US&productCode=&segment=DOWNLOAD&question=drivers+for+the+7100#1 .

Select the one for your OS. The one that starts cjs is for 64-bit Vista (and may work for Win7 64-bit). The one starting cjb is for XP and older Windows OS versions. There are similarly labeled files for Mac.

You must allow pop-ups to access the download, most browsers will show an alert for you to change the setting. (This will be a yellow bar at the top of the page in IE (iirc) and a button in the status bar for Firefox.) If you do not have broadband, most libraries have internet access. Just bring a flash drive, optical disc or other way to carry the file.

Once you have the exe (for Windows) on your computer. Uninstall any old driver (including a generic driver from the OS), then double click on the file before you connect the printer to the computer if you use a USB hub.

To do it free go to the Manufacter of your webcam's website.They should provide the drivers nescessary to download for your webcam.

You connect it on one, network the two computers, and share it so the second computer can see it.
If you don't know anything about networking, then that is an entirely different problem.

You could also get a USB A-B switch to hook up the printer to the two computers. The machines would generally be in the same room, though.
