The only audio output I see is the headphone jack from which to run the sound bar input. Is the sound bar surround/expanded sound features? Check the audio setup menu on Tv, the sound bar input selection, and try a cord from the headphone jack to the sound bar, if you haven't already. There should always be 2 channel stereo at the head jack unless it's turned off in tv menus. I see the owner's manual is very poor.

Take it back to where you purchased it and get a full refund.

Mr. Folk have you took a flashlight when picture goes off and shine in screen and press like menu button and look to see if you can see any letters or anything, if so you probably have a defective screen assy or backlight. This may help?

Hi, we had that problem the first two days we purchased our set. Fortunately they replaced it with no problem. I hope you purchased an extended warranty, Coby is out of business but warranties are still being honored...I don't know of a fix for this..Basically the Coby is a dud..I wish you the best! let us know how it turns out.. Coby uses Samsung parts in their TVs such as the screen itself and the control board. My suggestion would be to try Samsung remote codes. I did this with a Coby 40" LCD TV

Hi, unfortunately Coby is not manufactured any longer. I have a problem not the same as yours, but I can't use my headphone when using my Panasonic Blu-Ray player. Have to use the sony digital surround sound. nothing comes through the Coby...If you have an extended warranty, I would call and have it replaced with another 40 inch brand..They can't fix it.I'm calling to have mine replaced or repaired...sorry i couldn't be better at helping..
