Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. I was trying to put the color bottom ,won t change the color
unfortunately the coby company has gone out of business probably because they have produced an inferior product that has had many problems, many people are posting problems with these sets. it is better you just purchase a different brand of tv and leave this heartache causing product behind.
20 minutes worked then it just went black
Not a Solution but may help! Honestly more info is needed so We can narrow your problem down. Lets start with this. Note I havent looked up the manual for your model but This should help. Mostly Standard. Like traffic lights.
First, Locate your power Led, Note Color of Led. Red?(off) Green/Blue (on)Yellow (Standby). If you have a manual handy the Troubleshooting section describes these and what they mean.
1) If no power led is lit then, its either your power receptacle,(highly unlikely) fuse on power supply or power supply. Needs service.
2) If there is a power light. Note the color and if the led changes color or blinks after you hit the power button. ALSO,
B) Does the screen stay black, does it flash. or nothing happens? Note any changes in the led power light color and note it down.
If there is power and you still have no light, could be any of your boards. But we need to first verify power.
Hope this helps. Will
Main fuse
It should be located on the power supply board close to where the power cord terminates
My coby tftv3227 tv won't turn on and has no sound plugged it in new power source and still nothing what to do?
I see so many here with no sound/nopicture issues:ISSUES: 1. IF sound main fuse/s are good.2. If no power or standby check main fuse, standby power supply and any signsof damage you can see---burnt parts etc.3. almost all these sets the troubleshooting involves
checking voltages on the main power board to narrow down theproblem.4. Be safe and if you do not know what you are doing don't open the set.Answers to issues:1. RE:fuses---if a blown fuse is found get a good replacement(not the genericones like Radio Shack). Many fuses are special even aside from amperage--Don'tput a higher rated amperage fuse in the set for any reason.2. RE: power supply in set: if total dead aside from main fuse the set uses astandby power supply that runs 7/24 and a main supply (some are combined andsome not. Here aside from checking fuses you want to examine all the filter caps on thepower/standby to see if any are puffed up or buldged up in some fashion--Iattach a photo of a good one---top should be silver metal and PERFECTLY flatand have no brown material coming out on top or bottom. What happens in the standby area is they use caps with too low a voltage rating(saves money) which causes them to fail in a year or two---the standby runs7/24 and the heat dries out the caps and they fail.3. Trouble shooting consists of the above and then at some point you have to buyand try a board to see if it fixes it or not.4. Safety first--no TV set is worth getting injured or even killed over.If set is opened at least look for puffed up and bad caps like in thisphoto.
Coby 32 tftv3227 sound but no picture
Nothing you are likely to deal with in something other than a repair shop---most of The LCD type sets this size never get fixed from a cost point of view it usually is cheaper to buy a new set.Inverters that drive the screen and or back lights if used are the common issues but there are others.
Tv shut off and wont turn back on as of today
A number of possible answers here: power supply issue, main board issues, and or communication issues between main board and another board.First place to "look" would be to see if the caps on the power board display any puffed up issues.
Dvd stuck in tv
Someone is going to have to remove the entire DVD unit and open it to see if something (a second disc?) is jammed in the mechanism or if the mechanism is out of alignment.

If you've tried all positions with antennae, booster switch is on, and are sure you have all settings on TV correct, try running an alternate cable directly from antennae head to back of current plate where your co-ax from antennae is attached. That will tell you if you have a bad cable or connection from antennae to plate inside. Just get a piece long enough to go through door or window to current spot where connected. If that doesn't cure it, then it's a head or booster switch problem. You can even by-pass the booster and go direct to TV to see if any better.
This t.v. doesn't have an audio output. How
Hello!
you can use the Digital Coaxial port on the back of the tv.
use a mono RCA and connect it to a digital receiver eg:surround to get external sound.
(this only works with receivers with a digital input and will not give any sound
if connected do a analog input)
The screen on the tv
I'm sorry that the TV is displaying pictures with ghost effect. Please follow the troubleshooting steps and check the operation:
- Please make sure that the connections are secure and proper.
- Try connecting a different video source like DVD player or VCR and check the operation. If it works with another device, the issue might be with the input device currently.
- Also try connecting the device to a different port on the TV if no other devices are available.
- If the issue persists, try with a different cable.
- Perform a power resetting and check the operation. To perform the power resetting, unplug the TV from wall outlet for more than 2 minutes and then reconnect it.
If the issue persists, after all above troubleshooting steps, service may be required. You can click hear to setup a service for the TV.
Thanks for understanding. Please let me know if you require any clarifications/additional help.
