Logitech Z-2300 Computer Speakers - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Right speaker doesn't work
I had this very same problem and I had my system for about 2 weeks. I have seen a lot of similar posts on this site so it seems that this problems happens a lot. For some reason my right speaker just stopped working so i came to this site for help. I looked at alot of posts and nothing fixed the problem. when i switched the right speaker to the left input it started to work so I knew the speakers were fine. So i finally decided to unplug everything and restart my laptop. Once my laptop rebooted I plugged the sub back into the wall after about a minute of it being not plugged in. Then I plugged all the the wires and volume control back into the sub and turned the switch back on. Make sure the volume control is down when you plug everything back in. Then plug the wire into the device, which in my case was a laptop, and start to play some tunes. Right away everything was working perfectly fine again and no problems ever since...for me atleast.
HOPE THIS HELPS
Psvita headphone dont work
Did you try them in other devices, Radio, Amp, DVD Player, etc. If they failed on other devices, then take them back for a replacement.

Sub Woofer Not Working
Make sure it is plugged in and the volume is up. Also make sure you don't have your sound muted. Do any sounds come out of your computer? Go to the control panel and click sounds and do a test.

I took off the cap intentionally, to clean with air duster. As far as getting both speakers to work properly, simply switch ends of the cable from the computer to the box.

The speaker is usually a simple network consisting of a connection point and a crossover network and the speaker it self. all of thes components have connecting points. One of the three areas is having a problem. Check all these connections and see if the have developed a bad or cold solder joint. They also may have a broken connection. Usually a wire connector. You may be able to repair or replace it. If one the areas is damaged you may need to replace it.The components usually have part numbers on them. Use this part number in the search engines of the web to find a replacement part.If the expense is more than the speaker is worth, you may just want to replace the speaker. I hope this information helps you with your problem.
I have checked and rechecked

Hi
http://www.livedigitally.com/2005/09/05/logitech-z-2300-speaker-system/It would appear you need 2 x 1/4 inch (3.5mm) jack to RCA cables, one for each channel and each speaker, left and right, rather than just the 1 cable ("..and a mini to RCA cord...") you seem to have bought.
The Yellow and Black RCA ports appear to be the Left and Right speaker channels respectively.
The output cable with a green jack that connects to the green jack on the computer's sound card seems to be tied in with the wired Remote Control.
I would have recommended getting a pair of passive 40W RMS Logitech Stereo Speakers.
As long as the speakers you have match in terms of Wattage and Impedance, you should be okay.
I hope this helps.

Since nether speaker works in the left jack it is one of two problems.
1) the jack is bad, which can be replaced with a spare purchased from a vendor like Mauser Electronics or DigiKey.
2) The amp is damaged, in which case you are likely flat out of luck because they use SMD style circuitry which is near impossible to repair without very expensive specialized equipment.
My dog chewed thru the
Quickest fix, Contact Logitech for a replacement wire and ask if it is already attached to the remote.
Once you have it, AND assuming you know how to solder...
You can then open the case and unsolder the old connections in the unit and solder the new one in.
Problems I am foreseeing in your situation is
1) This wire is digital and you have not expressed if you soldered it or where,
You may have just twisted them together and if you tried to re-wire connecting them in a twist, even using awire nut or just taped them up... as you are finding, that just dont cut it.
2) There may be other "ever so tiny" knicks or breaks in the internal wires, while the vinyl sheathing shows no marks from the dogs teeth. Even still the wire could be broken elsewhere...
Another option, is if you have a local radio shack in your town... They probably have that wire in stock and you could verify what type of solder is required, since they are not all the same... In fact, they are usually more than happy to make the connections for you. Sometimes while you wait...
Good Luck to you
Respectfully
Only sound from the mic

Both speakers are not working.
Hello,, your problem is likly due to faulty contacts on the mechanical switches in your unit, you must dissemble the unit to the point of being able to access the switches main body,(electrical contacts) and spray cleaner solutions on the contacts, this will clean the contact surfaces and restore normal operation of your device, the contact switches are likely Aux input, tape monitor any equalizer switches. a contact cleaner spray from the any electronic supply will work well and a finite use of WD 40 is also very good, but use it sparingly. Good luck
