Hello, this is Ava with Think Crucial.
Most of the time the reason why the vacuum is not picking up is due to loss of suction. You may need to check for blockages of your wand and hose. Remove the wand and hose from your cleaner when checking for blockages and any damages. Make sure to turn off and unplug your vacuum from the power before doing this. Please refer to this troubleshooting guide for more information on how you can remove blockages:

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.
DC24's lower duct hose is a push-fit part, but it should fit tightly to the ducts at either end. It's worth making sure both ends are correctly in place all the way the way around, and that there is no damage to either the hose itself, or the ducts it attaches to.

Hi there Coire, it's Jack at Dyson. The valve you've described is the suction relief valve. This will open when something is restricting airflow through the vacuum cleaner. In normal use, we recommend washing both filters at least once a month, as shown in the video above. Use cold water without detergent, and allow at least 24 hours for both filters to dry completely somewhere warm before replacing them in the machine. If you find this doesn't resolve the issue it's likely your machine has a blockage - to locate and remove this, please follow the steps shown in our online Support guide: http://www.dyson.co.uk/support/dc24/dc24-multi-floor/my-machine-is-not-working/machine-not-sucking-picking-up-as-well-as-usual/how-to-wash-filters/check-suctionFor any further advice after you've given this a try, please contact our experts directly by calling the Dyson Customer Helpline on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), or 1-877-397-6622 (CA).Best wishes,JackDyson Online Customer Supportwww.dyson.com
Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.I'm sorry to hear about this - when pressing the red reset button on the cleaner head, it can help to use the eraser-end of a pencil. You should feel a 'click' as you press it. You might also like to take a look at the video below, just to make sure you're following the correct reset procedure. The brush bar will never rotate when the machine's standing upright, so make sure you recline it into the vacuuming position before you test it.If this doesn't resolve the issue please contact us directly so we can help further. If your Dyson Airwrap hair styler is turning off at certain heat settings and the red light is blinking, it could indicate a potential issue with the device. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
1. Check the power supply: Ensure that the Airwrap is properly plugged into a functioning power outlet and that the power cable is securely connected to the device.
2. Reset the device: Unplug the Airwrap from the power source and wait for about 30 seconds. Then, plug it back in and try turning it on again. This reset may resolve any temporary issues.
3. Clean the filter: The Airwrap has a filter located near the base of the handle. Check if the filter is clogged with dust or debris. If so, gently clean it with a soft brush or by rinsing it under running water. Allow it to dry completely before reinserting it into the device.
4. Check for overheating: The red blinking light on the Airwrap can also indicate that the device has overheated. If this is the case, it may have an automatic shut-off feature to protect against damage. Allow the Airwrap to cool down for a while before using it again. Make sure the vents on the device are clear and not blocked by hair or other obstructions.
5. Contact Dyson support: If the issue persists after trying the above steps, it's recommended to contact Dyson customer support for further assistance. They can provide specific troubleshooting advice or arrange for repairs if necessary.
Remember to refer to the user manual or Dyson's official support channels for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding your specific model of the Dyson Airwrap hair styler.
Where did you order the 'Genuine Part' from. It sounds like a Genuine copy made in China like the brush that was sent to me. Genuine parts only come from Dyson direct. Mine came from Amazon.

If the vacuum cleaner's airways become blocked, the device will automatically shut off to prevent damage. Check for blockage at the power head. It probably runs when not flat because it can suck air past the blockage.
If the vacuum's filter is full of debris, the vacuum may lose suction, causing the device to turn off automatically...which I doubt in your case.
Be cautious removing the blockage for sharp objects.
Best to you
