It sounds like the toner cartridge is spitting toner onto the drum. try another toner.

Like most laser printers, the toner light comes on early. This gives you time to order new toner. I find it best, since it does not stop the printer from printing, just to have a toner on hand and when your toner is empty replace it. Since this is a mesurement inside the toner cartridge its self, there is no way to reset the warning (other than replace the cartridge).

From the All programs menu on Windows, click the Status monitor icon. It will display the ink level.You may choose to configure the computer to display the icon on the task bar. A third way is to open the CC3 control center. Click the Machine configuration then ink level.

check the continuty in scanner cable to cis unit and check the continuity 2ends off scanner cable. 1.cable problem 2cis problem

You can reset the toner cartridges via the printer's menu.

• if an error message appears on the LCD display, press the Cancel (X) button to show the main menu.
• Press the Fax button to make the numeric keypad visible. Then, locate and only locate the Asterisk (Star) button on the numeric keypad. It is important to remember its location as it will not be lit up later when needed.
• Press the Home button to return to the main menu.
• Open the front cover of the printer (to access cartridges).
• With the front cover open, press and hold the unlit Asterisk (Star) button for 5 seconds.
• The reset menu will now appear on the LCD display.
• Scroll through the menu to select a color and yield to reset.
• The LCD will read "Accepted" once the reset is complete.

Try scanning at a lower DPI setting. The machine is only rated to a certain DPI which is how much information it can handle per inch. Lower the DPI the more pixilated an image you get becomes when blown up but unless you are planning on printing 6/4 photos in A3 size then 600-1200 DPI is plenty.

The scanner unit is faulty or the flat harness was not fitted properly to the main board.
