How do I get to the WEBSITE //198.168.0.1 ?

you need to have your router connected to your computer (ethernet) and once this is done you enter the 192.168.0.1 into your web browser i.e Internet Explorer, Mozilla, etc this should open that for you, its the standard IP address for your router, this will allow you to log onto the router and change settings, etc.

Net gear N 150 adsl+modem

If the light is out or red, then you are not getting any power or you might have a power supply problem. In most cases a red light on the modem or router indicates hardware problems. You can purchase a new power supply for it. It could be the modem is bad, the question is, do you still have an internet connection? If so, it is probably a faulty light or power sensor, and the cost of a new modem or power supply may not be worth the effort. If you do not have internet connectivity, then you have a totally seperate issue and then you should call your ISP and ask them about your internet connection. It could be your internet is down or they have line problems. It may also be that you are plugged in to a multi outlet strip and you should try plugging it in directly to the wall.

I hope this was useful and please comment if this was helpful to you.

Blue lights turn off

Well I know this annoying thing too well.On the top of the device is what could best be described as a blue police light. As soon as power is applied to the DG834PN, this light begins flashing in a rotating motion. Fortunately you can turn this feature off before it becomes too annoying or causes a migraine. You will need to access the product's configuration option, select the maintenance section and alter the settings that come under Dome LED Control. The flashing light can be set to on, off or as per schedule.
This should resolve your issue.

I use AOL as my ISP, with British Telecom

If BT tested the phone line is OK but did AOL test the connection to the Netgear router and get the IP address of your Netgear router.
The phone connection is OK but the ADSL connection from the telephone exchange may not be working, that is why you are not getting an ADSL light.

I can't find my password wep

You MUST have generated, and recorded that, when setting up the Router for the FIRST time, IF you do NOT have it recorded, than you MUST set up the router again, this time, saving the KEY, now as it is 128 number number, it's not feasible, to write it down, so when you are Generating the KEY, you copy/paste it to a notepad document, save that and put it on a USB drive, now you take said USB Drive, to any "Client" PC's and copy/paste in into the required "Field" when asked, at login to network. All is explained in the manual.

Local area connection unplugged

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. It means that there is an issue with the connection provided by the service provider and you’ll need to contact him to get it started and also check that the connection to computer is fine. To diagnose and repair just right click on the connection icon in the bottom right corner and then click on diagnose and repair option. It’ll also resolve the issue. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Wireless light on router does not light up

there is a rest hole on the back, with router off push a straightened paperclip in and hold it for more than 10 seconds, this should reset to factory settings (I had to do this more than once) then you can connect via cable and access from your browser and re set your details.
