Swing stopped working
Had the exact same issue, so I called FP. I had already taken the motor housing off to see if it was something obvious, like a loose connection or broken part. I didn't see anything wrong so I just cleaned it up and put it back together. When I called they offered to sell me a new motor for around $80. Then the lady I was speaking to (who was typing as we talked) said "hey, wait, there's a note in here about this issue..." She said to do what I had done, lightly clean it out with something like a keyboard cleaner, then using the plug (not batteries) set the speed to two/center. It somehow resets it. That worked for me, and it was free. If that doesn't work then yes, you can get a motor directly from FP. Call the customer service number listed on the back of your manual, if you have it, or 800-432-5437. You'll need to have it nearby so you can give them the model number and year that is listed on the back of the motor housing (open the battery compartment if it isn't on the outside). You can also get motors online, especially ebay, from any of the papasan swings FP makes. I love this swing so much that I think it's worth it. I've used it for four years now and plan to use it in the future.
